Description
Well, today marks six years since I have been saved, and I wanted to draw this to commemorate that wonderful day and to thank the Lord Jesus for saving me. In the picture, that's supposed to blood of Christ, and it's covering a book that contains every sin I've committed, and every sin I will commit in the future. The Bible verses in the drawing is from Colossians 2:13-14.If you aren't saved, or aren't sure if you are saved, and you would like to be saved, I have the instructions on how to do so on my profile page in the box I have titled, "How to Get SAVED." In short, it's this --->
1. Your sins separate you from God, and the wages of sin is death.
2. God is holy, and cannot allow sin in His presence. Hence, there is no sin in heaven.
3. God provided a way for mankind to go to heaven, and that way is through Jesus Christ alone.
4. Jesus Christ paid the eternal penalty of our sins when He took our place on the cross.
5. He rose again on the third day following His crucifixion for our justification.
6. You must put your faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross in order to get saved from hell and be guaranteed heaven in the future.
Note: Your good works CANNOT save you, it is by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
If anything is unclear here, or if you have any questions about the gospel and how to get saved, feel free to ask me; I'd be more than happy to help. Thank you, and God bless
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 --->
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 5:8-11 --->
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Ephesians 2:8-9 --->
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Acts 16:30-31 --->
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

It's good to think about how much God has forgiven us. I've sinned so much in my life; and I'm amazed to see just how much God has forgiven me. I thank Him every day for forgiving me and having mercy on me.

Ooh congrats. I prayed the prayer of forgiveness in June 6, 2011 and was baptized last June

Thank you. I just want to say however, that a person is saved the moment they put their faith in Christ, not when they pray a prayer asking for forgiveness. Was that the day you officially trusted the gospel?

I guess? It's been awhile. I know to be forgiven you must ask for forgiveness, so when you pray for forgiveness you ask Jesus into your heart

Well, Romans 3,4, and 5 say that a person is justified by faith. When you've trusted the gospel, then you've already received His forgiveness.

Hmm. I thought the forgiveness prayer was important too. I find my faith waxes and wanes. I trust the Lord differently at different times. But recently I've found that, hard as they may be, struggles in life help us rely on God more. As well as struggles mentioned in the Bible, like with the Israelites throughout the OT

Well, you were saved the very moment you trusted in Christ the very first time. I know what you mean; my faith isn't always at its highest either, but not in the sense that He won't forgive my sins, but in that I think sometimes, "Will He really provide all I need?" I've been facing struggles to concerning my job because I've barely been working and I'm running low on money. It's making me to rely on Jesus Christ more, which is a good thing.
