Description Here, Estrella (Diego's wife) is trying to teach Manuel, one of their sons, math. However, he isn't very good at it and gets discouraged all the time. It's one of those times where a persistent, loving, and supportive parent makes a huge difference in a child's life ^.^

Small note: Estrella's name is pronounced, "es-stray-yah", and you have to roll the "r".

And in case it looks strange, Estrella's legs are hidden because her lower body is curved to her right (behind her from your perspective)

Maths can be irritating. In primary school it all made perfect sense but in high school there's so many complicated equations to remember, it's like 7 subjects worth of procedures to remember XD

Absolutely, and it got particularly heinous when it got to calculus. I totally bombed it senior year because it was too hard to remember everything. I think I was the only student in my math class that had to drop it halfway through the year. Which math are you in right now?

I'm in Year 9 maths, but it is extension level though so it probably includes some Year 10 stuff. I'm not doing too badly according to my grades (pretty much all Bs for Maths) but I do find it very hard compared to other subjects, even extension science and english.

Would year 9 for you be something like Geometry? That's the math I did in ninth grade, and then it was Algebra 2 the next year. For me, it was actually the English classes that were tougher in general.

Well geometry was the easy bit, algebra tends to be the hardest because there's so many little strategies you have to remember. Stuff like quadratic trinomials and such is very hard to remember.

English is okay I think, because you can just sort of make it up. As long as you use a few techniques you can write whatever you want XD

Math can be a real pain for a lot of people. I remember having a terrible time back when I was just trying to learn division.

Thanks ^.^ When drawing this, I remembered what it was like being a kid and not knowing how to do something all my other peers knew how to do. It was frustrating because I felt like I was "too stupid" to get it. It makes me glad that at least some of my teachers were persistent ^.^
