This kangaroo is found along the eastern parts of Australia, it is the second largest and heaviest living marsupial. The adult male will commonly weigh around 50 - 66kg (110 to 146lb) and the females will weight around 17 - 40kg (37 to 88lb). The large males of this species are more heavily built with muscle in comparison to the red kangaroo. These kangaroos are easy to distinguish from the red kangaroos and they typically are found in more moist fertile areas compared to the red kangaroos. The largest known specimen of this kangaroo was recorded as being 91kg (201lb).
