There you go, second animation in the lot. And since some of you asked for color, there it is! (despite the fact this process took about 80% of the total amount of time spent on this animation). I had plans for more elements into this one, but I think it will be fine as is.The movements didn't turn out exactly as I wanted them to be, and I had a hard time with those hammers (merci Γmilie
), but in overall I'm kinda proud of this one. And hey, it features Mario. MAAAAAARIO!! *fangirls*My God, I'll be so tired at work tomorrow.
Drawn with Wacom 6x8" Intuos3 tablet. Total time spent : 25+ hours in Flash MX 2004.

Honestly, it's really good. But the joke's a little cliched. Other than that, good job! The visuals were nice. I found it funny and amusing. Impact, I'm not sure what that is, but you deserve a good rating. Uhh, well. I' m not sure what else to write. At this point it's just filler in order to meet the 100 word minimum. Sooo...yeah. I actually really like this animation! If I were to rate on a scale from 1-20 I give it a 16.5/20. The lines were quivering but the color stood out with it and the colors used gave kind of a sample of as if the Mario team itself made the character designs and color for you to use. It stood out well just like a male lion stands out from its pride basically. Very nice job. May all give applause to you and your art. *clap clap clap* I would love to see more animation of Mario from you, friend.

Alright, I'm not sure if I've done a crit before, but, here goes...
Alright, first thing I thought was this: Cool, "A Mario animation. Loves these."
And then I saw it. It's so smooth, I was really caught in the sense of following the shell through its journey, and sort of created my own background as it went along.
The movements are so smooth, its like watching a cartoon on TV. The way Mario reacted when the shell retaliated was absoloutley pure comedy, and overall it was a super-mega awesome animation. I really like this animation! On a good note, the animation is very fluid and smooth, plus the characters are well drawn. One thing I have to point out is that the outlines kind of quiver, and if this was your goal, to have a "sketchy" kind of animation, then it worked out very well. I also like how much detail you put into this, like the character's expressions and the finest lines on the items. Overall, this looks very good and well polished! Vision is 5/5, Originality is 4.5/5, Techinique 5/5, and Impact is 5/5. If I had to give this a mark out of 20, it would be 19.5/20. I've always wondered how animators made their animations look like each frame is trembling like that, it adds a nice touch.Β

They draw a frame, then in the next frame they simply trace the previous frame badly, and then they repeat these two frames, giving the trembling effect.

1.) where did you get Flash MX 2004? Is it free? If not, how much is it?
2.) Do you create the animation first and THEN color it? Or is it a work in progress? The motions are so fluid! It's awesome!

1. No it's not free. There are ways to get it for free, but I won't help you with it.
2. Usually I wait until all the animation is done before colopuring. So the answer would be 'yes'.

I used to animate with pixels, but it was never really fluid. I used to just use the Windows Movie Maker with Sprites from the spriters resource and stuff. It took FOREVER. I can tell this takes alot of time too, but at least it seems more fluid. Great work!
