Description
The Story:It was a hot, sweltering night in Jersey City, NJ.
At the time, the most rational thing that had come to mind was to take a trip down to Liberty State Park to sit by the water and cool off. It had been quite some time since the last time I visited, and then had been as good a time as any to take a walk and try to relax. What could possibly happen in a boring little area like that?
I would be proven wrong within moments of sitting on top of a picnic table.
An enormous crack of thunder practically had me falling off of the tabletop, my curiosity getting the better of my anxiety and caused me to turn to see what had caused it.
I was surprised to see a clear sky above me, not a cloud in sight. I shook the whole thing off as my nerves and imagination getting the better of me, most likely some rattling of the clouds thanks to the heat. It wasn't until I started packing my bag again so I could head home and avoid the storm that may or may not have been coming along that I found another surprise waiting for me.
It was as I was reaching for my fallen pen that I finally noticed him.
He couldn't have been taller than my hand, but there he was: standing there, looking like he had just stepped out of a lumberjack camp...and frightened out of his skull at the sight of me. I couldn't blame him really, I must have appeared absolutely massive to someone so small as him. I merely stood there staring, expecting the mini-mirage to disappear at any moment. It seemed he had the same idea about me, what with the way he shook uncontrollably and ready to run if I moved a muscle. Several more minutes would pass and he continued to linger there, only to finally find the courage to speak.
"Uh...t-top a' the mornin' t-there?" he squeaked out, sounding more like a question than an actual greeting. He flinched when I offered a slow wave in return, my own voice refusing to let anything pass my lips. "It uh...it looks like I-I'm a b-bit far from home, eh?"

The Picture:
Yeah, no story title change since technically, it works with Colm being stranded on Earth...
Since FFH started off 2 years ago (boy how time does fly), my hair's still short in this picture. There was no way I was going to add in Colm's plaid to his shirt either, that would take WORK.
As for the pose, don't anybody get in a hissy fit about Colm grabbing onto my earlobe and cheek like that: it's planned for the rewrite of FFH (whenever that'll be...>_>;; ) , and I figured I'd test it out first. So he'll get the same experience too. Eventually.

Colm (even this version) (c) Me!
Me (c) Mr. & Mrs. Bradley, God, Buddha, Jesus, or whatever diety will have her.

Which do you mean, the him being small or the ear-pulling thing, cuz the latter happened in chapter 6.

Him being small. I remembered the ear-pulling.
I had a random thought: If they can Diminish objects, can they do it with living things? And is it reversible?

Oh god, I so wish this would actually happen. That or you'd make a side story where he's the small one >DDD
And I don't think you have to worry about the hissy fit. It's perfectly clear he's doing that out of fright

Well, this pic/story has the same chances as any of the other Opposite Week pictures has of becoming a full-fledged story.
A snowball's chance in hell, that is.

Awww.... Maybe some short comic strips about different moments then?
And I think the snowball's chances would be pretty good actually, if you consider Antarctica that is (aka the freezing hell)

I thought so. i r genesis XD
It's really funny what you come up with on the spot without doing something like, I don't know, plan ahead for an event you started? >__<
I dunno, putting it out there just in case. Was afraid of the same thing with the first "Fun With..." comic. Avoiding the "zomg that's not cool bad colm DX" comments, you know?

I had no idea what I was going to write as the story blurb until I had to submit this. ^_^;;
Um, I guess just in case this counts as Colm being a jerk or something? Because he's just grabbing on like I'm not a person too? I dunno, I got nothing...-___-;;

Oh! XD HA! Well you should be proud that you were able to write a nice story bit last min. ^___^
Oh. :S No, I don't see how him holding onto you like that would be considered a jerk thing to do.
