I've been compiling these dumb little doodles I've been drawing for the past few days since I've got an idea in my head that I'd like to put into motion at least part way sometime.

I CAN DREAM. *sighs*

But, yeah, I'm going to give Kiki an assistant!

A super tiny assistant who can put his itty-bitty hands to good use by fixing small circuit boards and fitting into tight spaces Kiki wouldn't ordinarily be able to access unless she took her project apart partially. Saves time, energy, and makes her projects even easier while she waits to be reassigned.

Her getting an assistant is partially to blame because I could imagine that she's nothing but a dirty grease monkey who calls other Irkens aside to assist with her projects all the time and keeps them from doing their jobs (even though the resulting finished products are awesome and are employed on the battlefield later) and that's no bueno. So one of her higher-ups suggests getting/making a robot or just picking a technically-savvy slave to help her.

It takes time to make a robot that doesn't suck so that's not good enough for her. Might as well pick something that can get in there faster and then bleed all over everything when something accidentally crushes an arm or a pelvis. Perfect!

Trig (the tiny little guy all over this page, lol) is a Vortian with dwarfism, orphaned at an extremely young age when his used-to-be parents were prisoners in a filthy, disgusting, unsanitary Irken-enforced work camp. He was always picked on by the guards and just about everybody around him, thinking that he was too small to be smart or to survive for very long. BUT HE BEAT THE ODDS. And is now around 20 years old. He also happens to have two even smaller brain worms living in his head who function as his adoptive family.

These brain worms are actually based on designs I created... about... six years ago? They're extremely old but at least now they're getting some screen-time, whoo!

Paz and Kor are Isbica, an ancient species of parasitic insectoid beings who almost took over the universe until some lucky sob found out that they're deathly allergic and/or sensitive to saffron and saffron-laced products which completely reversed and all but halted the Isbica takeover of every sentient species alive in the cosmos. FANCY FOOD WAS THEIR DOWNFALL. Now they're just hanging out and laying low in people's heads, waiting until they build up an immunity to saffron so they can continue their conquest. But, like, it's okay if they've gotta wait. Good things come in time.

Isbica often find their way into host's bodies by being ingested in food or by sneaking in through the mouth, nose, open wounds, or some other orifice and tunnel their way up to their new host's brain. They eventually set up camp in their host's skull and give them a choice: form a pact with them where they will live in harmony and only feed off of the host's blood for nutrition OR they eat their entire brain and move on to greener pastures. It seems rather invasive, because it is (they're parasites so go figure), but they're surprisingly intelligent little creatures and will augment and monitor the host's body to make sure they live very long, healthy lives which will prove beneficial to both of them. Aliens infected with brain worms typically live unnaturally long lives with very little incidence of illness--they're the picture of health pretty much up to the day that their body finally does shut down.

A typical "infestation" consists of one to three worms, but an entire colony comprised of up to 100+ worms can sometimes occur. Though, they're rather conscientious of capacity and healthy living space so the worms will move out as carefully as possible to find different hosts that can sustain them with less cramped space.

The infected may or may not show very typical physically-manifested "split personalities" which are unique to each worm while others may complain of hearing voices in their head and may be misdiagnosed with a mental illness rather than having an actual second voice talking to them inside of their skull. Others may just seemingly talk to themselves like normal and nobody will suspect a thing.

Trig is a very happy little guy because his adoptive family has been with him wherever he went, always giving advice and encouragement when he was uncertain or confused, cheering him up if he was sad or upset, and laughing at all of their shared bad jokes. He understands how the whole galactic takeover thing goes--he's got two aliens in his head who were on the road to doing just that a few hundred thousand years ago--so he's not really upset at being reduced to a slave, though he is bothered by his treatment at times.

Paz and Kor take a more direct route to communicating with Trig and the people around him by taking manual control of his body, making his demeanor and mannerisms change noticeably when they're speaking about 70% of the time so it's easy to know whom they're being addressed by.

Kor is a down-to earth doctor, having studied medicine a great many years before he came upon Trig as his new host. He's patient, observant, and concise, and he adores his host and roommate. Even if they can be a bit ridiculous sometimes.

Paz is a strong, independent single woman who don't need no man. She's also a very talented cook and an aspiring pop-singer. She can get a little haughty at times but knows what she's doing, she's extremely sassy and is headstrong and driven, and she's usually the one to take matters in her own hands if the going gets tough.

Good thing that Kiki is actually an understanding individual, even if she has her own silly little quirks. She's got some racism to catch up on, too, but she'll get there.

But, Ick, keep your hands off of Kiki's little buddy.

Stop manhandling him, seriously.

I'm still not sure how I want Trig's palette to go. But I do know that Paz and Kor are going to have pink and purple color schemes respectively.

Still gotta mess with colors uuugh

I'll try to illustrate how Kiki came into possession of Trig soon so you guys can have fun with a very minor little storyline, lol.
