" Moe was the first to find the land, wielding the first wand in her hand. Used magic to save everybody, and became the first of the Butterfly Family. " - Poem.

A long time ago, some amnesiac people washed up on the shores of Mewni and became the first Mewman Settlers. One of them named Moe, was given a rattle and it formed into the first royal magic wand, making her destined to become the first Queen of Mewni.

It was not easy though; the dominant species known as Monsters, were deemed as a threat to Moe and her settlers, who were trying to build a settlement. ( Which was on the Monsters' land. ).

Because of the Monsters, Moe decided to use magic to change the scared Peasants into Knights and fight off the Monsters, in a war which would be called Mewnipendence.

Unfortunately, Moe’s spell wore off during battle and the Peasants ran off scared and terrified. Moe was determined not to loose the fight, so she transformed into her Ultimate Magic Form and flew to the Alligator River, which was covered with magic yellow goo.

It is said that Moe dipped down and sucked up all the yellow magic and then unleashed it as a giant blastwave of power to finally defeat the Monsters and scare them off into the Forest of Certain Death.

Afterwards, Moe fell out of the sky and crashed right in the middle of the Butterfly Village. Upon recovering from the fight, Moe was diagnosed with an illness known as Mewni-Pox. Using magic, Moe kept it contained as to not spread it.

Since Moe would succumb to the illness in a few days, Moe decided to pass the reigns of Queendom onto her closest servant, a young Mew-Woman named Crystal.

Moe made it official that Crystal would replace her and right after, she passed away. Moe would be remembered for many generations as the Founder of the Butterfly Family and the First Wielder of the Royal Magic Wand.

It is said that while Moe dipped down and unleashed the magic, a giant bright yellow Butterfly could be seen all over Mewni.

Years after Moe passed away, Glossaryck would show Crystal a new location in the Alligator River, the Magic Sanctuary. To this day, it is unknown if Moe’s dipping down caused the creation of the Magic Sanctuary.

Just like Star and Eclipsa, Moe did not trust the Magic High Commission.

Just like Marco, Celestia believes that Moe and the rest of the Mewmans started off as Humans. It is strongly speculated that if they are Humans, then they most likely came from Echo Creek.
