it's from his excalibur days when he was leading the team. Towards the later half of the series, few years shy of it ended, he donned the buzz cut, goatee, rocked 2 rapiers on his back, and had top similar to what Aang wore in the final season of Avatar.
And personally, I always thought that was one of his BEST character designs.

Bro, this is like a "dopeness overload". i dig everything but the length of his hair. it's different but this nightcrawler looks like he'd rather be playing b-ball on the court than be in church.

I like everything but the hair. I think you could have gotten away with it being longer, it would have really helped with the movement of the piece.

Oh, I know how accurate it is, I'm just saying I think longer hair would have helped the piece a lot, the short hair seems out of place because it stops the fluidity and motion, whereas longer hair flying with the movement would have helped the image fly off of the... moniter, as it were.
