Description
Full-Colour commission for of his original characters.Based on a written description, I did my best to depict the piece.
Had fun w/ this one.
funny that even though i was looking @ lots of sunrises to get the sky looking proper, it kinda looks like a sunset.

This is very beautiful. It's clean cut and the coloring is beautiful. My only problem is the boy's left arm, it looks a bit disfigured near the hand, as if he has a large bump. But nonetheless, this is exceptionally beautiful!

I guess, some help might be to make the sky less orange. Maybe more twilight-ish blue.
I know sunrises and sunsets are pretty much the same thing when it comes to appearance, but more people are familiar with sunsets, and some not familiar at all with sunrises. So maybe...changing it a bit might make something different from what people are used to. Yeah that's all. Haha!
But it's friggin awesome. I love this picture. I only wish I could make stuff like this. It's rad. Dude!!

Yeah, it looks like a sunset XD. I think if you made the area further from the sun a little darker you could've got the sunrise effect

I Love the mood and the lighting of this piece. It looks like a sunrise to me. A sunset would have more purples and pinks. I love the grass stuff in the front(I'm at a loss at the moment for what it's actually called) I like how its out of focus. Nice work overall!

Awesome work mate! As for the whole sunset/sunrise thing...in the end, does it really matter? Its subjective, its art. Reminds me of the age old "is the glass half full or half empty?" question. Depends on who's looking...right?

Hmm.... gorgeous piece of course, and the skyline DOES look lovely... but if you were going for rise instead of set, you might've tried using a bit more vibrant blue at the horizon line. Perhaps it's just my impressions, but frequently if I catch the sunset, it seems there's always this edge of brilliant, eye-searing blue tingeing the sky towards the horizon area.

The fog may help you when doing sunrises... Usually sunsets and sunrises are very similar and it needs a lot of practice to chose the right colours to make the difference, but adding fog to a sunrise may help you, because there is no fog on sunsets

and yeah it does look like a sunset. i think it has something to do with perception. maybe if the sun was behind them then it'd look like a sunrise. if the sun was in front of them (not that it is) it'd look more like a sunset.
either way it doesn't matter, this pic is still amazing. i'll have to check out the rest of your gallery when i have a chance.
