Description
Day 12 of Sketchtavern's Draw-A-Day brings yet another Disney Tribute. When I first watched this flick those many years ago, I absolutely fell in love w/ their usage of colours. Fantastic they were. Apart from that, I absolutely loved the look of Pocahontas. Her facial structure just appealed to me, artistically.
Anyway I think tomorrows challenge might bring up a villain this time. Which villain, I do not know. Most likely one from a film I have yet to do a tribute for.

just had to write at some point...
I'm absolutely in love with the artwork you've done for this project so far
my only regret is that February was chosen and not one of those 31-days-month, at least February has 29 days this year
can't wait what you'll come up with for the rest of this month

Man, you are just wickedly good.
You should do Captain hook, maleficent or Oogie Boogie, haha Oogie Boogie would rock

In keeping with your Disney flow, might I suggest the Horned King (Black Cauldron)?

hm...may I give you a suggestion of a villain? I tried to incorporate your amazing style with some Disney villains in my mind and I thoigh that these would be great with your style:
-Clayton from Tarzan
-Frolo from Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Hades from Hercules

I absolutely agree. They used colors very differently, and they played a lot more with them. Pocahontas is one of the first females that has a face of her own, that express a lot of her personality through it. And so does John Smith, thou is not as strong as her.
Beautiful piece, just like all the ones you've been doing. I very much like your style.

Yeah, I didn't dig the flick that much but FANTASTIC recreation of it... and what's goin' on in the cloud, looks a little dirty.
If you do a villian, might I suggest Hades or Ursula? With your style you could do an extremely interesting render of them, especially with your skewed perspective.

Gaaa...another movie I absolutely love. Her HAIR is the most amazing thing ever. She was always one of my favorite heroines, because she had a more...defined face? Or something. She looked older and stronger to me, and her voice was powerful.
Wonderful picture, again! The background and colors are really pretty and keep the feel of the film, but I'm glad that even more of your style is showing in this one. Your ability with expressions and facial structure is wonderful, and I like how you can see the difference in race between them in it (and not just their skin tone). I seriously envy your abilities. xD

Yeah, that whole song scene was the only good part of the whole film for me. They could have just sold that as a music video and made the same amount of money.

Nice job dude. Yeah the art style an uses of color was awsome on this picture But I could never finish this movie. There was to much singing. Dude I swear it's like every second there was a musical number. maybe I'll watch it again with the sound off lol.

yeah, pocahontas' facial structure was a lot different compared to the typical disney women, it's most prominently her square-ish jaw.

John has a "wtf" expression on his face and Pocahontas looks as if she were crying - but I just like pointing out the meaningless details. your expressive style changes Disney characters a lot, making them still very similar to the original at the same time. very interesting!
I wonder what will be next. someone (I mean, you) at last gives tribute to old Disney movies, not calling them childish, but bringing back the beautiful memories
keep it up
