I don't think I've changed my armor set up since I purchased the Mark V helmet. Only difference is my armor is normally steel black.This is a tribute to Kelly-087 <3

Although Kelly is a female Spartan, her body structure in armor is not that different from a male Spartan.
Almost all Spartans have the same bodyframe, Halsey is the only one who knows which one is which.

In the video game, Reach, you can visually tell apart males from females. Females are built smaller, and the armor fits different. Same with Halo 4. Unless you clad the chicks in bulky armor, you can still tell them apart.

The Spartans in Reach were Spartan-III. They are bulkier than average marines but they are still drastically smaller than Spartan-II.
S-III were supposed to be the cheaper version of making super soldiers, which help them make more soldiers in sessions of waves. Also, S-III were war orphans from the Covenant attacks, and except for the Noble Team, all S-III personals were classified and not meant to be existing.
S-II have a heavier augmentation which has a higher risk of death (half of the children died, and some were crippled. John and the others were the only one who passed the test). In addition to that, The armor have a stronger prosthetic joints than the armors that the Noble team were wearing. Except for Nobles, all S-III personals have a different armor, which emits cameo instead of shield, which result in more casualties.
S-II only made one branch of Spartans, whereas S-III made I believe five groups?
S-IV are average soldiers made super soldiers. Instead of using children like S-II and S-III, S-IV used military volunteers, like Sarah Palmer, who was an ODST before becoming a Spartan. Again, the augmentation were not as strong as S-II and S-III, but S-IV are taller than an average soldier.
Now, I could talk about the S-I, which Avery Johnson was in, but they only received augmentations (and resistance to the flood infections) and did not receive any armors.
One more note: if you look on the cover of "Ghost of Onyx" book, you see three Spartans. One is wearing a Mrk. V suit, another is wearing a Mrk. VI suit, and the last is what appears to be a EVA suit, but classified as a SPI suit. The character wearing a SPI suit was Kurt, a S-II who trained all of the S-III's. The wearer of the Mrk. VI suit was Will, of the original Blue Team (led by John, and in his absence, Fred). The last, Mrk. V, was Kelly. Kelly's armor size is not that different in comparison to Will's armor.
Also, in "First Strike," one ODST was romantically interested in one of the female Spartans, but when they were wearing suits, he could not figure out which one is which because the Spartans were nearly identical in size.
Even Naomi from the Thursday War Saga was pretty huge.

Kelly is personally, my second favorite spartan with Chief at #1, after that it'd be Linda, Fred, and then Kurt.

They are huge and hideous on the fem figure for Reach x.x They literally hover on the arm. FJ Para shoulders are the closest ones to
Mark VI from Halo 3 in looks.

I know some of the Spartans mixed and matched parts from Mk V and Mk VI, but I thought Kelly always wore straight Mk V. I may be wrong, I haven't read the books in a long time.

She does wear straight Mark V, but they don't look right in Halo Reach on the female figure which is why I used the FJ/Para shoulders. THey had to do as a stand in for the Mark V. Sorry, I meant to type Mark V instead of Mark VI in my previous comment.
