Description
Lore shit: Inspired by the practice of Sin Eating in real life (sin eaters would consume a ritual meal to take on the sins of a deceased person), these creatures were once part of a sect of travelling monks who would ritualistically eat an organ from abandoned and unattended battlefield corpses. This practice was believed to absolve the deceased of sin or regret so they could properly pass on to the next life. However, as one would imagine, many of these monks descended into madness, beginning to crave flesh and soon caving to their gluttonous urges. By forsaking their oaths, many became twisted wretches who's minds were akin to those of rabid beasts.

These guys were really fun to work on. It took forever to get the design idea going and had a ton of sketch iterations before this, but I'm generally happy with how these guys turned out. They needed to basically set the tone and theme of the story right off he bat, given they are the first monster my main character is seen fighting in my webcomic project.
