Everyone's awake-ish and clothed this time.Where did our still unnamed feline get clothes? Doc has enough patients with clothes that are damaged or otherwise need to be disposed of, so he's got a box of thrift store stuff in the back room. In her case, however, it's an old pair of scrubs.
I know, a lot of dialog this week. I'm liking the idea of doing big full-page images like this for the first page of each chapter, though.
Yes, chicory coffee -- either as an addition to, or a substitute, is an actual thing.
Why is that the substitute in this setting? Because it'll grow a lot of places coffee won't. Around my area, it's a fairly common roadside weed.
