This was my first Photoshop project, and I learned a lot in Photoshop while making it. I still got a few things to work on but overall I got it down packed. Now it's time for me to learn Illustrator... If you like my Gameboy Micro Skin, then check out my other Gameboy Micro related stuff here:

Create Your Own Gameboy Micro Faceplate Files (must have Adobe Photoshop to make one):

VisualBoyAdvance 1.7.2 or higher is recommended when using the Gameboy Micro skins.

VisualBoyAdvance can be downloaded at:

Instructions:

1.) Unzip the .zip file into the VisualBoyAdvance folder.

2.) Select: Options=>Video=>Render Method=>Select Skin.

3.) Select the .ini file.

Micro Version Skin:

To ensure that the video playback is smooth, make sure that DirectDraw

(Options=>Video=>Render Method=>DirectDraw) is selected before using any of the Micro

version skins.

Author Comments:

All images used in the Gameboy Micro skin were created with Adobe Photoshop CS2.

You may redistribute and share this skin with others, but only if it is in it's original

state along with this ReadMe.txt and all other files unmodified unless you have permission

from the original author.

Don't fuc*ing tell me that VBA-M doesn't have skin support. This is $h*t, I just wanted to play the Mother 3 translation with this orgasmic skin, but no.

Unfortunately it doesn't. Problem is that certain buttons in the skin that refers to certain commands are broken/unlinked because of rearranged/removed features/tools in the emulator's menus. In the meantime, use the original VBA.

I use everyday your GBA and GBA sp skins for VBA and are awesome! beautiful...
But this skin for micro i don't understand why it doesn't work...there are some missing files (tell me VBA) i don't know...

That's odd, I just tried to redownload it and try it out myself again and I had no problems with it. Are you using Visualboy Advance 1.72? That's the version that it should definitely work with. Make sure that you redownload the skin package and right click on the zip file and select the option that allows you extract the files to a folder so that all of the files and folders are extracted where they need to be. I hope that it works for you.

This skin looks marvelous--I'm going to use it from now on. One thing though--I'd like to see the entire Micro at 2x scale. My resolution can take it . I'd also like to see a transparent 2x scale.

Thanks a lot. Well, when I originally made the first one (GBA Indigo), it would always fall out of the screen for me and others because most screen resolulions were 1024x786 maximum. So it has been a tradition to just show the screen instead of showing the whole thing. It would be too much work if I decided to do that now. I'm going to start working on my next project pretty soon anyways. Thanks for the comment.

I'm so glad that you like it! Well yes, I enjoy the GBA. It started way back from the original Gameboy. But the reasons that I made the skins were because it was very hard to find a nice looking GBA skin. All that I could find were skins made from very bad scans. After I made the first one, people wanted the SP. Then after that, some people requested that I make a Micro version. I was going to make a DS version too, but that will be too much work and VBA skinning had kind of died out. Plus, I want to focus on some other projects that I've been wanting to do for a while.

Thank you so much for the comment. Yup. I rarely get any comments. All people want to do is just download. I might be working on the second version of the faceplate feature also. Of course it will be a little more advance and difficult to use because it will make making faceplates a little more flexible. Thanks again.

welcome, its really great...one thing though, is that every time i use as a skin (which is every time), i need to move the emulator around before a part of the right side of the skin shows up, so if u can, could u fix? thanx
