et puis, après tout, tu as raison, ce n'est pas très important.
pas pour la compréhension - ou l'appréhension plutôt - de l'image.
pure curiosité basique.
il y a un effet rotatif dans la structure qui lui confère inévitablement à mes yeux une dimension métaphysique. Ontologique et métaphysique.
L'éternel retour de Nietsche, quelque chose comme ça...

non pas du tout Emmanuel. c'est une question que je me pose moi aussi, souvent. la reponse est plus oui que non, meme si l'intention n'y etais pas.

remarque anecdotique : je constate sur dA - mais pas seulement - que l'autoportrait comme genre est bien plus couru chez les femmes que chez les hommes. J'en connais certaines - et même beaucoup ! - qui se sont entièrement dédiées au genre.
Je n'y vois pas spécialement de l'autoportrait.
plutôt un sujet d'étude - difficile - comme un autre.
et après tout, se servir de soi-même comme modèle évite bien des problèmes, notamment juridiques !!
C'est ce que m'avait répondu mot pour mot Jean-François Rozier - qui utilise des personnages dans ses hyper photos qui sont en fait lui-même - et qui est un homme, lui...
tout ça pour dire quoi ? et bien je n'en sais trop rien, c'est un constat. pas sûr qu'il y en ait quelque chose à tirer !!

c'est si typiquement feminin, ce besoin d'introspection, d'autoanalyse, ce regard en meme temps si severe, ou au contraire complaisant, sur soi meme.
se remettre toujours en question, par la photo ou autre.

intéressant. c'est drôle, les rares fois où j'ai fait des tentatives d'autoportrait - il y a déjà quelques temps - c'était plutôt des tentatives d'exorcisme. "Faire sortir" quelque chose. Par conséquent la démarche opposée à celle de "l'introspection" - porter le regard vers l'intérieur.

I truly love this- a very interesting way of shooting a portrait. Though I personally wish there was less white space between the squares inside the grid

as i considered it imperfect, or at least unfinished, i decided i can take some liberties with it.
not to mention i was half asleep while taking the images, which came out rather nice
the space, yes, i never know how much space is the best
i, usually in such constructions, go for no space at all. that was some time ago, when i used to do a lot of these with photos.
i tried it here and it was good. i wish i saved it to show you.
but i was deliberely going for a different effect this time.
with a dA-name like yours, no wonder you like this
