Natural Citrines were hard to come by, but he and many others were able to be under the Diamonds' authorities. Citrines were made as a moral support for the other Quartz soldiers and fight alongside them. When the Rebellion hit, many of the Citrines joined the Rebellion, but Citrus and a few others stayed under the Diamonds' order. He didn't fight a lot in the war, he mainly healed wounded gems and fixed ships. He was busy repairing a ship when Homeworld gems retreated, and was left behind.
