Okay, so pride month ended a couple days ago but I can make pride content whenever I want and no you can't stop me.
Anyways, I always see people making designs based off of pride flags during June, so I wanted to take a swing at it myself. I am very much obsessed with color pallets so trying to incorporate the colors of pride flags and only colors taken directly from the flag was fun and challenging. Also, fun fact, I made all these designs with no construction lines and instead used my free form simple style.
I wanted to include as many flags and identities as a could, but decided to limit this batch to 15 designs. However depending on how this round goes there may be a part two!

One thing about these flag inspired adopts that people do during pride month that rubs me the wrong way is you often have to pay for them, which makes sense because they're adopts and that's how adopting works, but it's always a bitter reminder of how so often LGBTQ+ people are just treated as a source of money during pride month and then are ignored for the rest of the year. (Not trying to say pride themed adopts are bad, it just reminds me of the much more damaging rainbow capitalism that big company's do) So, I want to make these adopts free for anyone who wants them, but I also want to make sure they go to people who will actually take care of the design. Thus I have created my own version of a DTA, which I shall explain below!

RULES FOR ADOPTING (A GUIDE TO THE KINDA DTA) please read this

- for those who don't know, DTA means Draw To Adopt. Generally in a DTA different artists compete for the adopt by making artwork of the adopt, then the designer chooses who drew it best and then that artist gets the adopt.

-In this kinda DTA the competition part is being cut out, for the adopt you want you will ask to 'claim' it. Once you have claimed an adopt you will have a week to make a piece of artwork of the adopt, once you have made this piece of artwork the adopt will officially be yours.

-If you have claimed an adopt but your week passes by and you have not made any art of them, I will give the next person who claimed it a chance to draw and adopt the character.

-Once someone else has claimed an adopt, you are allowed to claim it as a backup, but you are not allowed to draw the design. (basically first come first served)

-Please reply to the featured comments for the adopts to claim

-You are only allowed to make artwork in order to adopt the character once I have replied to your claiming comment.

- Basically ANY type of artwork is acceptable to claim the adopt, the only requirement is it must be at least a headshot (it doesn't even need color)

- The only acceptation to the rule above it that no NSFW, traced art, stolen art, or art done on a base is allowed.

- You are allowed to edit the design in your drawing, however the character must be recognizable

- IMPORTANT EDIT! Sorry I forgot to include this earlier but definitely make sure I see the drawing you make, whether by linking or tagging, make sure I know you actually drew the adopt once claimed.

- You are only allowed to claim 3 adopts at a time, you must wait a month before claiming another 3 designs

-Anyone is free to adopt these characters! It doesn't have to be a flag you identify with. However no misuse of these designs in an offensive way will be tolerated.

- If this way of adopting is too confusing, let me know and I'll repost these adopts in a still free but more easy way, I just wanted to try out something new with this Kinda DTA
