Yeah we really are like that. It's so amazing to me how the Bible is the only book I've read that speaks to the human condition and really tells us exactly what we are like. We are rebellious, prideful and selfish. Not only does it tells us our problem but it gives a solution hahaha. The Author really knows what He is talking about haha

Amen, He does! Today's world tries to cover our sinful nature with the saying that man is "basically good" but corrupted by environment or whatever....but the fact remains that we are sinful people in need of salvation - salvation that only comes from Christ.

Nice concept! I like how the the sheep is so realistic, juxtaposing with the more stylistic tree/ edge of the cliff- maybe a meaningful choice? Either way, it's a great piece!

hahahaha I wish I was that crafty! No it wasn't a meaningful choice but I like how you read into it! I was super worried about messing up the sheep and I normally work waaaaay zoomed out. But for the sheep I zoomed in a bunch so I ended up putting more detail into it.

thank you, it was tough getting everything situated the way I wanted it. At first I had the edge of the cliff more toward the bottom with less of it showing, but by moving it up I think it helped quite a bit.

I love this, the sheep is realistic and I love the landscape. The meaning behind it all is great, I like how the sheep doesn't even seem to be noticing it's about to fall off a cliff- that's so much like how we are sometimes.

Yeah it's true. I think it's interesting to look back at past situations and to see how God stepped in and changed everything around when the situation could have ended very very differently often very badly. It's so good to know that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and he will never lead us astray, and when we try to walk away He comes calling after us. He is so faithful

thank you, i made a lot of custom brushes for this to get the type of texture I wanted. landscapes are not my strong suit either. I think it's hard to make them interesting a lot of the time, at least for me anyway.
