Thrust was created by the science of Eggman and the dark magics of Kai and Tess. The first true success in placing a demon soul into a robotic body. Combining the two took a long while to get it right, the first few times the robot went insane and attacked anything that moved. Trying once more, Kai and Tess were able to extract a demonic soul from one of the deepest ends of Hell itself, that demonic soul was then placed into a new robotic design.

Once the soul was placed into the robotic form, the soul at first was destructive, trying to escape this prison it now was in. The demonic soul slowly taking the robots form as it's own, slowly causing the robotic limbs to break and flesh taking its place and overlapping the metal limbs. Seeing this made Eggman electrify it with volts of power, the soul seemed to slowly become one with the machine, losing energy to trying to escape. With data being transferred into the robots systems, the demon slowly began to forget the sense of free will. The data finally transferred and the power of the robot shut down to reboot.

The second the robot turned back on it sat up saying, "Mission objective, collect souls for sacrifices." With that numerous models of similar to Thrusts design were created with him as their commander, collecting souls to give the robots life. Not too long after this is when a second model was created with the demonic soul, robot being dubbed as Frost. Who for some reason or another is the complete opposite of Thrust, still having a tad of free will left.

Despite his new partner, Thrust still carries out his missions to collect souls, trying to find the more powerful souls as a sense of accomplishment. The data he was given also had contained information on Sonic and his allies, giving the signs of he should hunt them down.

Since there is flesh on Thrusts body, he can bleed like any other living creature, which makes him more of a cyborg instead of a robot. And unknown to his three creators, with each passing day, Thrust becomes more and more flesh than robotic as the demonic soul continues to inhabit the robot.
