I'm certain that there will be a good set of ground rules. Drinking from an open carton in the frige. Stealing covers. Using someone's tail as a blanket (or to hide behind during a scary movie together). And making sure that they brush their teeth after having a bugburger snack. Little things like that I've found are a big part of a relationship. Sometimes I buy my wife flowers just because I can..and not because it's a special occasion or anything.

Not yet anyways. Well, fingers, and all other appendages, prehensile or otherwise are crossed for luck. I'm still looking forward to the next installment in your own series. It seems like every time I do a check on this site there's something new for the fandom. And my kid....she just saw Zootopia (I lent her my copy). The bug has bitten yet again. Another new fan.

She's 23 and an amazing artist in her own right. She has done some sculpture that some find unsettling, I find absolutely amazing as an expression of the creative process ( a head bursting open and flowers spilling out). Indeed, that picture I have on my page "Fall" - that's hers - she took that on her senior trip to Crete (I really need to attribute that to her) - Kinda stuck on my work too - writers block sucks.

Ah, I see - I was just curious if she is still considered a kid or a grown up.
It's funny how much the grown ups seem to enjoy Zootopia. To be honest I've actually never seen a kid near anything of this movie so far. Well, I'm actually not even that sure of kids do understand the massage of the story or if they're just seeing funny cute animals running around.

Depends on the kid I would assume. I'll bet that a kid from the inner city or a minority group got the message loud and clear because they live it everyday. Whether or not it'll have a long term impact ....especially in the US of late....I really dunno.

They really are, so very enticingly did they catch and drag you down on the ground and circle around you in irresistable hypnotic way. So slowly and softly they start firstly just to lick and nip, then to bite and tear you into warm fluffy pieces in most cuddly ways imaginable. You will love every breaking bone... every severed limb, as they gleefully feast upon the helpless you... those vile beasts of love. Every chew is a blessing, every gulp like a forgiven sin... bursting stomach and guts like a long lost best friend.
As they pleasurably eat and devour the little pieces that are left of you... it feels like going into heaven as many times as there are pieces absorbed and your soul screams it's limitless joy towards it all. You could never have even dreamed that you would be so lucky... yet you were always destined to be.
I'm happy reaper. Welcome to Nirvana.

Quite sure. Heh heh, sly svenny...jävel.
Thanks but i just write what i feel to my own amusement (and maybe sometimes for others's too). Knackerton is in the eye of the beholder but i'm glad if you liked it... though much of it's inspiration did come from descriptions of your Zootopia art so actually this is all pretty much your fault. Now look what you made me do... something inspiring, joyous and fun... with you. Thank you.
These two merciless and savage predators of emotions have certainly maimed and mauled and clawed meeee!! and many others so very thoroughly and ridiculously softly that no bone, tendon or muscle remains attached to other while feels!, feels!, feels! splattering all over from the core of my being that is reduced into a mere cosmic ketchup bottle in the armpit of a universe. In the bottom of it remains only the crystallized cuteness overload weighting roughly about a mass of medium sized neutron star.
Yet i would have liked to see darker and more realistic Zootopia but still i really do love the movie and these most wonderful, though utterly ruthless and vampiric characters as you can probably tell. Your Zootopian artwork is not too bad at all either but it was the distinctives of their descriptions that got me.
How about you ? A sucker for happy and cuddly soft ultrakill&eatmealive-fuzzywuzzyendings or a longing yearner for clanging, tragic, bittersweet, dullmetalneedleinthyheart-like gutwrenching raw realistic inevitability ?

Oh! I see.
No, Thank you!
I'm a slave for FLUFFY, CUTE, CUDDLY and HAPPY Shipping.
Shipping is something that brings a smile to my face, I know it's just fiction, but at least for a moment, it makes me believe love exists.
Not saying I don't enjoy the darker or tragic side of shipping. I have some ships that are really dark, borderline abusive. I can find the darker aspect of a relationship to be really alluring.
But Life is already dark and tragic and I don't want it in my fiction too.
Fiction is an escape, a place I can smile and dream, it's a short moment of happiness even if it's fake, I'm addicted.
So personally? happy shipping is always a win for me!

Just lovely, i can feel your feels like i described them. A helpless slave of joyous fluffyness, hopelessly shacklebound in cumulus of cuteness... forever. Oh you s... so emotional... no, i'm not giving you the pen...nope, no.
Actually i meant darker plots and not shipping lanes in particular. Occasional dark 'ships' may have some use plotwise but as themselves, they obviously are not fun. Dark plots, exciting turns, wild twists and chilling cliffhangers on the other hand are polished gold when done good 'n' heavy. Happy turn and timely salvation often creates a nice balance to the narrative force. There must not be too much of either side or the whole becomes just too syrupy.
There is surprising amount of grimmer fanfic already flowing in the net so clearly there is a call for such content.
If you want, see a short but darker and thrillchilling storypiece of mine from a great conceptional picture that i found :

When it comes to story and world building within it, I'm all game.
I do love reading stories with a darker touch.
But even then I like to avoid the tragic ''tag'' if I see it attach to a story since i'm really weak.
But you have a solid point that everything can't be sugary sweet, since having too much of anything is never good and it's important to have a balanced story.
But if the main part of a story is romance then I will most likely only read it, if it's ''fluffy''. Which is rather ironic since the majority of my ships are dark/complicated/tragic and are usually not the main part of the original story, but just based on my own delusional shipping fantasies. It's just my preference.
But when I read a story without romance in it,then please, give me all the gore and horror, I'd bath in that! XD
My favorite genre is mystery and psychological. Fiction with these two genre has never failed to entertain me so far.
I'm working on two original comics, that will have these elements. I plan to share them on this website in the future.
I don't know though, if I will be a contributor for any ''darker'' zootopia fanart.
I have some more ''questionable'' (wink, winkifyouknowwhatImean) artwork in progress. But nothing too dark. But if inspiration hit me right, then nothing will stop me from fulfilling these darker urges.
I've only read a handful of Zootopia fanfics so far and they all been sweet and short.
But if I were to come across a darker Zootopia fanfic, I try to remember and send a link to you
I really enjoyed reading your contribute to the fanart, in the link you sent me. A very vivid description

In your previous post you wrote about love and it's existence. Even though the humanity as a whole is feverishly, knowingly and thus deservedly paving it's road to hell, love certainly exists. Watch Zootopia with all it's best fanfics and you don't just know it, you can feel it and as you lie there helpless and absorbing all that fluffy preciousness like a magnet, you become a source of love too. Like a fountain or a sea port that just wants to 'ship' the oceans full. I know you are full of love when you are like that, i know the feeling so drop doubt my friend and let 'ships' of love raise their sails. There is a ocean of billions out there who yearn their precious cargo.
Love has always been and it always will be. Only places of it's dwelling do vary. It is the most powerful creative force in the universe, you love Zootopia ---> you create something from it with joy. Love at work.
"All you need is love"
-John Lennon
Great man... sad but so typical fate in this world.
It is great that you like darker side too but if your pain spot is sadness in romance, i will spare you from my vision of Romeo&Juliet-ending for Nick & Judy even though i love it to pieces, to it's bitter end and would like to 'ship' it and share it with you. It is pretty much as ultra as i can do in both sadness and romance, supercharged by the fact how lovable Nick & Judy are as characters and together. No fluff there but a well-rounded black cloud of kathartic death and loss with a silver lining.
Yes, there is a bit irony there what you mentioned about your preferences but you have reasons for it. I love your self-irony on that delusional-thingy, i rate that trait very high in person, right about after honesty.
I don't want to upset you or increase your emotional burden although there can be colossal beauty in sadness too if 'filmed' from the right 'angle' and in proper 'lightning'. You know... come to think of it... the most bravest thing that person can do is test and face their worst fears and Judy even said the immortal Truth of Ages in the movie : "All we have to fear is fear itself." This is so much deeper sentence than so many could possibly imagine.
No, i'm not trying to lure you to experience this vision. Well... maybe just a little.
Seriously though, if this kind of stuff hurts you, we will leave it at that. That is not something i would like to do, especially to a kind, weak and friendly soul.
If you like mystery, scifi, psychology and absolutely brilliant and zany but very intelligent humor mixed together, i can't recommend Douglas Adams's The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy too much. Only trilogy in the world that has five volumes.
There sure are great mysteries there in it... like god's last message to his creation and what will really eventually happen to life, universe and everything. So much is told sometimes in most sublime ways that it is a pure pleasure to read over and over. It is about 800 pages in total and i have read it at least 15 times, It has been awhile from the last go so i will do it again soon.
If you have even remotest interest to such literature, don't miss this one. Definitely one of it's kind.
I'm looking forward to seeing these comics and arts of yours, especially zootopian ones. What oh what might those winking and alluring sirens of your mind be hiding so tantalizingly... putting you in now.
All the best fanfics of Zootopia you happen to come across are always welcome. I'm very happy that you liked it so much, i think it is a great setting to create good suspence and tension while leaving nice amount of space for reader's own imagination to run amok. Thank you. Although so very short, i knew that this one would be good when i was there with those characters in that cell and felt the oozing confidence of a top dog and gnawing desperation of a meek prey in me as i wrote.... and i can always continue it from both ends rightyrightyright ?
From fanfics you can often really tell what writer really loves the source material. I very very rarely do any fanfic at all, only from those realms and characters that touch and move me the very most. But when i do, i do my best to make them as vivid and deceivingy easy for the reader to sink and get helplessly trapped into as possible. Immersing the reader and rendering him/her helpless against the emotionally impacting powers of story's narrative is maybe the most important of schemes in writing a good story. Such a story that one just can't put down until it is totally read and absorbed... likely many many times. As a long time reader, i know that this is what readers want the most, to get hopelessly trapped, bound and tied by the sweet shackles, ropes and chains of a story so good that it must be devoured gluttonusly in marathon style until The End.
Obviously first and most primal incentive to write must be to offer one hell of a ride and a blast and the food for thought in the process. Oh yes... when the source material is as good, charming and rich as in Zootsville to which to build on, i definitely want the reader to be helpless passenger in rickety wooden boat with wind their hair, chill in their necks and love in their heart on my frothy, pummeling and breathtaking stream of twisting storyline. At the same time i want the multifacetedness of all elements to give as much room for interpretational manouvers as possible.
A one way thrill ride to the end while trying to hold the boat afloat and not falling over into tearful embrace of sadness awaiting under the waves of the force that carry you forward. Now thats a recipe to cook a delicious and nourishing meal of hearts.
Oh and if you get hungry for herr Knackerton, please feel free to visit my gallery. There are quite a lot of written thingies there. Newest Grains turned out pretty good, Industreal is a painfully realistic real world verse that i really like and then there is always the crazy but so philosophical world of the salamander.
