So Harry-Topper gave me a funny idea for me to work out. Took me more work then I thought it would be. But the result is nice.

Well, maybe they are, but I'm just super talented xD (seriously though, for me, character animation is more difficult because the anatomy has to be correct. Whereas with effects, you don't have to worry about that. )

Hahaha Talented AND humble! Anatomy is something I'm having problems with too. But that's what the daily figure drawing is for!
Do you study anything for your effects animations, or is this done from imagination?

Since I've started these Daily animations I have started paying more attention to slow motion video's, like those from The Slow Mo Guys. Quite interesting to examine the motion in those videos. Making those daily figure drawings is a good idea of you. I should try that as well.

I do think there's something beautiful about natural movements, so I can see watching those being somewhat relaxing too. I was doing the flag animation a while back, and watching those references sort of put me in a trance. Maybe that's where I'll pick it back up! Figure drawing can be a lot of fun. The exaggeration you can put into it sometimes makes me laugh.
