Hello misfits,

Have this throw back from me in 2014, when I was *tries to do math* 20, I think?

There's a little reason I'm posting this, because this look - when I had an endless amount of dreadlocks and absolutely no eyebrows - was when I felt Big. I was young and figuring out how to live in a big city with little to no support. I didn't really have that many friends I could lean on. I grew up in a really rural place so had plenty of time to express myself and be as weird as I wanted without too much drama. But this time I was an adult. I had to have a proper job, I had rent to pay, chores to do, I had to really look after myself and it was weird. There wasn't time for me to be weird. So I found myself becoming smaller and smaller and drew into myself. Then when i had almost vanished from being present, I had to stop myself. I couldn't do it, but Big could. Big was what I called the strongest side of myself. Big was everything i wanted to be all the time but couldn't be. So sometimes, when I needed to, I could be Big. I put my dreadlocks back in, shave my brows off, strapped on the Wonderbra and New Rock Boots and kicked arse until I remembered who *I* was. Not Big, but me.
So every now and then, when I feel like trying to make myself small, when I want to vanish, I become Big. Granted, I don't shave my eyebrows off anymore but I'll weave a few dreadlocks back in for a while and be the strongest version of myself. Just for a little bit. Just until I remember who I am again.

Anyway, my little OC cartoons were originally based around Big because I knew who I wanted her to be. She was easy to convey. And then Pumpkin was originally an analogue for me. Then came Licella and Spaldriff (originally Lick and Spaff) who are the angel and devil on Pumpkin's shoulders. And ultimately, they report to Big because I'm pretty sure she's in charge of those idiots.

Anyway, that's enough of my spleen vented lol
