Description . . .

A continuation of my bawdy humor Legam/Leliana comics. This one's probably a bit more subtler than Shoes and Thighs , but your mind's probably in the gutter if you get it nonetheless.

I included the Wynne joke because that batty old lady approves of the strangest things in game.

Ya I can totally see them as a bromance haha. I also like it when the girls have...girlmance? with characters LOL. Like idk why but I really liked Morrigan on my mage character because I maxed her out (i don't know how i completed that!) and she's totally chill with me. Sure she's till a bitch but whatever! And I play guy characters as well, but usually after I play a girl first. I like to know every possible storyline for these games! Haha

And I agree. FPS...are OKAY, but they are not something I get into, just something I play for fun with other people. Like Call of Duty and Halo. Fine, fine games. Never played the story lines.

Fallout 3 was awesome! It was challenging, had awesome quests and a story line, and the characters were awesome even if you couldn't talk to them (like Charon...the follower. UGH WHY CAN'T I TALK TO YOU MORE??!) And Fable 2 was awesome, but when I beat it, even though there were more things I could do, I felt like it was the end. And I have Fable one, but I haven't gotten past being a kid haha!

I totally agree. Because of Biowar I'm also into fandoms with their games. It first started with KoTOR, and there was an online site I posted art/fanfiction on, and now with Dragon Age it's Livejournal and Deviantart of course The people in bioware are GODS! All hail David Gadier!!!

Yeah, I'm not sure what to call the equivalent. I would agree on principle more than experience, as I rarely play females. And for the record, even with a softie character like Legam, I ended up friends with Morrigan. Honestly, there's nobody in the main party I hate, even if I wouldn't like them in real life. If characters are compelling and well done, I tend to enjoy them.

Yeah, just not my kind of games. Silly to get elitist and claim they suck just because they don't interest me. I get tired of people dissing other kinds of interests/games on principle simply because they don't enjoy 'em. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

Fallout 3 was like Oblivion and Morrowind for me (which makes sense - same company, similar interface) - they were great games for sandboxes, but I have to play them when I'm in the right mood. Sometimes I want to just wander around aimlessly and do whatever I feel like, and they're great for that. But when I want to focus on story/character development, I go to Bioware.

Even with previous Bioware games, as much as I loved them, I only dabbled in the fandoms - maybe a couple fan arts, I would read the occasional fiction and browse fan art, but that's it. Dragon Age is the first one I bothered to join their forums for and goof around with fellow fans. I think my BSN account is close to... 800ish posts now?

Hey, don't forget Sheryl Chee and Mary Kirby, the other two main writers for Dragon Age! They contributed a lot! Not to mention the countless others who wrote small things/filler like banters and the other great branches of the development team.

I concur! I don't think I dislike any of the characters! Like, I like some more than others, sure, but all of the characters are awesome in their own way! And I LOVE how bioware makes the player informed of the NPCs background stories. It just makes the game that much better and the characters so much more lovable/relateable.

Yeah I don't understand how FPS games have so much hype though...but a customer once told me that they prefer games like that because they could just pick up and set down the controller when they please, when RPGs hook you in, and they don't have the time for it. Which is respectable I suppose.

My brother loved Oblivion...and I'll probably end up playing it eventually. I hear good things about it as well, but again, its something on my to-do list that probably won't get done anydays soon. Especially with midterms coming up...ugh.

Haha that's so awesome! I love talking to fans about things My first REAL fandom was with Avatar: The Last Airbender. It was because of that show that I started talking to people online in the first place, drawing 'fanart', and writing fanfics! Ahh, good times.

And of course I can't forget them! I just didn't know their names off the top of my head. David comes to mind only because I'm a geek and I'm his books right now based off of dragon age

to pretty much everything in the first paragraph.

Well, I can understand their appeal for people who play games to vent, for competition, for action/etc. I get it, I just don't find myself interested. I play games for story/characters first, hence lots of RPGs in my game collection.

If you liked Fallout 3 and Dragon Age, you'll probably like Oblivion. Oblivion's interface is VERY similar to Fallout 3's. The character creator, however... Well, let's just say if you want a halfway decent looking character, you might be fiddling with it for a while.

Ah, Avatar. I LOVE Avatar. I saw it when it first premiered, and was an instant fan. Followed a lot of fan art/fiction and drew a couple of fan arts, but again... I mostly stayed out of the active fandom. Partly because of the shipping wars. Oh gods. The shipping wars. >_<;

I remember Sheryl and Mary because they too post on the forums and are a hoot. Besides, Sheryl was the main writer for some of my most favorite DA characters - Leliana, Wynne, Dog... Mary was behind Sten and, if I recall correctly, a lot of the Qunari culture.

Holly is part of an old Monster Rancher-based screenname. If DA would let you change screennames without starting a new page, I would - either bahstudios or DalishRanger, since I use those everywhere else. But I digress.

'Tis cool. I only clarified because a LOT of people on Bioware's Social Site confuse me for a guy because I play male PCs and draw them. I even had one guy note me asking if I really was a girl because he was a gay guy and had been crushing on my BSN avatar.

I've never had to worry about being hit on, but I'm used to mild surprise when people find out my actual gender, even though I'm hardly secretive about it.

As for the "dirty boy" I knew you were kidding around, and I'm used to joking with people online and not taking stuff like that too seriously.

But yeah - genders cleared up, no worries.

Gah, it's so late and yet I'm not sleepy. I kinda want to start on another fan art...

That's the way to do it.

I'm horrible at photography myself (had to take at least one class on it as a requirement for my degree), but if you enjoy it, why not? I'm pretty decent at website design/building, but I HATE doing it outside of as a hobby. I do website commissions only because I don't have a regular job at the moment. I do illustration commissions too, and while they make less money, I must say I enjoy doing them a lot more.

Unfortunately, my dad keeps promoting my web design skills than my illustrative ones. *Sigh* It's not so much that he's unsupportive of the art thing, but that he thinks I have a better chance finding work with website design than illustration. I think there's some truth to that, but that doesn't mean I want to turn it into a regular thing. He keeps trying to get me to do more with it, while I'm only tolerating website commissions until I can get a regular job. I really couldn't care less about making more money - as long as I have enough to take care of myself, I'm good. I'd rather be slightly poorer but happy in my career than rich and miserable with what I do.

But I ramble and digress. Basically, my opinion is that if you really enjoy photography more than doing nails, go for it. At the very least it would be an enlightening artistic pursuit.

i understand the whole i want my kid to be a doctor or a lawyer rather then a poet or a writter its not that my parents are against anything thing that i do and photography would make more money then a nail tech (with the right job) but photography would also take me far from home and i think with all thats "happened" they want me close to home but im a free spirted person and to be bound to one place kills me its one of the problums in my marrage (not that im a wild child or anything but that i would perfer to be gone out in the world rather then sit here) and no im not suicidal but my mom thinks i i would loss control if you will break down fall apart what ever there way over protective of me and it pisses me off but anyways yeah i would rather the photograph over the nails

My parents have always been supportive of the art thing; and my father would be estatic if I turned art into a career and were successful with it. It's just that at the moment, the website design thing is a better opportunity for me, job/salary wise. I get that. What's irksome is that he seems to vastly overestimate how much I like making websites. And he wonders why I downplay it every time he brags about my web design... Well, I also downplay it because I focus more on art than code, and so my coding's not the cleanest/I can make some silly goof-ups. Fine if it's my own crap I goof up, but I hate screwing up sites for people who are paying me money to get them made. Even if fixing the problems means more time, thus more money.

As for moving around... I've traveled and moved a fair amount in my life, to the point where I'm sick of it. At present, I'm personally fine with staying put (well, not including moving out on my own). But I've always been one to be more reclusive and adventure through books and stories rather than running off into the sunset, so to speak.

And as far as making money with photography goes... Dunno, if you have good work and find the right studio to work for (or if you establish your own) you can make a lot of money. Finding work might be a little irregular (as it is for most any professional art career), but it often pays better in the long run than illustrators and fine artists.
