But seriously... Kataang gets more hate than I really think it deserves. I'm not here to get involved in the "Ship Wars" other than to support my ship that I've been part of since literally the premiere of the show. I won't get into my views on other ships, but I will say these excellent essays pretty much perfectly reflect my views on the matter: [link] and [link]
As for the style... Yeah, I know it's nothing like the show. I didn't intend for it to be. I wanted to use my style as I have it in my webcomic, Rune Master ( [link] ), so that's why they look the way they do. Of course, Aang and Katara are also older here. Dunno why, I just felt like drawing them older.
... This will probably get more views than the rest of my non-fan art stuff. Oh well. For Kataang, I will deal with it. U_U;

You may not fervently attack Zutara, but I will.
I can have fun and be a fan if you think it's a good pairing, but I'm here to tell you you're wrong, and that it'll never be canon. Read the essays, it's a simple truth. Katara and Zuko wouldn't work well together, they'd fight perpetually and they'd both be miserable.
And Zuko fangirls, if you're going to be a fan of a character, at least understand him. Zuko isn't emotionless, he's fiery and passionate. He's focused on what he feels he has to do, and he pursues his goals with a relentless fervor seen in none of the other characters. I don't always like what Zuko does, but he's my favorite character because I feel is the most driven, conflicted, and complex character that the series has to offer, and with Avatar, that's saying something.
In short, if you're going to be a fan, do it right. And stop attacking Kataang, because guess what? It makes you look like the relationally inept 14 year old girl that you are.
Also, Kataang FTW. There's pretty much no way this won't happen.

I was a zuko and Iroh fan in the first and second seasons (not pairing just characters, here on dA you MUST specify that) but what Zuko did, albeit both predictable and somewhat understandable was a betrayal of Iroh a man who had done nothing but try and help Zuko. As for Kataang, how can people not like this pairing? yeah Aang looks a little young for katara but who ever said it had to be any time soon?
