My character designs for an independant film called"Eye of the Bennu" its an epic egyptian fantasy adventure.
I'm the Art Director/storyboard/character designer for the film.
I designed them by hand, then vectorized them in Flash

As a local friend of the creator, this work has been cherished in its completed form. Your images here give a great sense of life into the portrayals of Khanum and Zeldeen as honourable warriors, despite being on opposite sides throughout the film. And then there's our hero Aketnu, with his best friend Izra, plus his other friends Bastet and Rekhet. Always hoped there would be more after the finished work, especially with a bittersweet ending. Rather intriguing how Zeldeen has red fur, which compliments the portrayals of Set as being the same, in accordance with his domain of the red desert, to say nothing of the Hyksos, their foreign heritage which Set also had connections. The remaining question would be the mystery of Aketnu's father, given that his mother is Nepthys, with a plausible assumption on the part of this one, that his father was the equivalent of Anubis. Still, Eye of the Bennu is a delightful fantasy film on Ancient Egyptian myth.
