An anomalous existence designed to be Gensokyo's emergency recovery system in the event of a cataclysmic failure, the events of Armageddon Day, I believe, were too much for it. As a result, such an existence became irreversibly warped, transforming it from a savior, to a Devourer. The vast majority of results stemming from this change can best be seen in the final war for Youkai Mountain, where the ceaseless tide of the Devourer's spawn were only held at bay long enough for that naive war goddess to launch a successful suicide run.
Despite my personal feelings on the matter, even I must admit that the Hisoutensoku MK II was an impressive creation.
However, despite the overwhelming power of the re-engineered thermonuclear core, even that was only enough to wound the Devourer, not kill it...a fact made worse by the act that the rampant nuclear radiation left over from the assault only served to corrode it further.
The fate of the Moriyas, irritatingly enough, seems to have escaped my information web for the time being, but I will allow them that much...as their legacy is proving to be a far more intriguing and entertaining matter.
Wounded and immobile and insane, the Devourer is still nonetheless, an engine of creation...and so it continues to create.
Misshapen, twisted mutants and monsters, a neverending factory line of disaster. Of little concern to me, as mindless beasts like that are a simple enough matter, and perhaps even a useful asset if one is capable of luring unsuspecting pursuers within their attacking range.
Nonetheless, I digress. Of far greater concern, is the fact that, for lack of a better word, the Devourer is 'evolving'.
With each passing generation, its monsters grow exponentially more powerful, like a hive queen and her brood.
Despite the obvious threat this presents, I find myself intrigued by it. A living, evolving engine of creation...what an asset that would be!
Unfortunately, despite it's weakened and insane condition, the Devourer is an impossibly powerful creature, even when left immobile from the past injuries...and of significantly greater concern is the facty that it is not only aware of that, but has actively taken steps to counteract it.
...namely, by creating its very own watchdog.
Enter the Annihilator, for lack of a better word.
It seems that amongst the vast numbers of prey it has swallowed, the Devourer found something truly powerful...or rather, two somethings.
[Blizzard of Corruption].
It has no name, at least none it identifies by, though that may be due in part to the rampant feral nature of the beast. As yet, none of my tests have been able to confirm what on earth it is that the Devourer consumed to produce such absurd armor, but the overwhelming power of ice does give me a clue or three as to one of the 'living' components of the creature.
Standing almost five meters tall, [Blizzard of Corruption] (for lack of a more convenient name) is a bipedal, biomechanical nightmare. Physical strength exceeds anything else in its size class, and, after one unfortunate encounter with a human assault fleet that ventured too close to its territory, I am of the opinion it may well exceed anything else on the planet.
...and that is simply the exterior, main body.
Repeated observations have been able to glimpse the form of a beautiful young woman, fused into the torso of the creature, seemingly capable of true intelligence and using her own, smaller hands independently of the main body. This was, mostly, the prime piece of evidence for determining the presence of not one, but two living beings comprising it.
Beyond this, further investigation will be needed...

*ahem* As mentioned in prior reports, the Devourer of Gensokyo seems to be, despite its overwhelming personal strength, relatively immobile. Perhaps it is as a result of the wounds dealt by the war goddess of Moriya in their final battle...As I said, most other information on the Devourer has been covered before in my prior studies, so I will not go into that now.
THE PROBLEM IS THE DAMN THING IT MADE TO ACT AS A GUARD DOG. I BELIEVE THAT UNDEAD SKANK HAD A PRETTY ACCURATE NAME FOR IT, ACTUALLY.
...as loath as I am to give that harlot even a shred of credit, sadly, I must agree that [Blizzard of Corruption] is an unfortunately accurate moniker. Based on my studies, there are two main components of the Corruptor.
THE FIRST, AND MOST OBVIOUS ONE, IS THE GIGANTIC BIOMECHANICAL LIZARD THING THAT SERVES AS THE MAIN BODY. PHYSICAL STRENGTH IS OFF THE SCALE, EVEN AGAINST MY DEATHWAVE CHASSIS, AND ALL OTHER PHYSICAL PARAMETERS ARE OF A SIMILAR LEVEL. IN ADDITION TO THIS, IT POSSESSES AN UNGODLY CONTROL OVER FORMATION AND MANIPULATION OF ICE, AS DEMONSTRATED BY THE SIX BLACK-ICE WINGS ON IT'S BACK, CAPABLE OF BEING USED AS PROJECTILES AND MELEE WEAPONS AS IT SEES FIT. IN ADDITION TO THIS, CURRENT CALCULATIONS ESTIMATE THE RANGE OF THIS MANIPULATION TO BE UP TO 200 METERS AWAY FROM IT, MEANING THAT ANYTHING WITHIN THAT RADIUS IS UNDER THREAT OF NEAR INSTANTANEOUS RUPTURED EARTH OR A BLOODY BLACK ICE BLIZZARD CAPABLE OF PUNCHING THROUGH EVEN MY ARMOR PLATES.

As my compatriot here has stated, the main body is indeed formidable. While my expertise in that field is somewhat lacking, I am quite well equipped to analyze the other half of this beast, and the source of the name of corruption. What appears to be a humanoid female body is fused into the torso of the Blizzard, and after some observation, I can say with 98% certainty it is not actually human at all. It is a fairy, though I have yet to identify her given her truly...peculiar properties.
YOU MEAN THE FACT SHE'S A LIVING BIOHAZARD, OR THE FACT THAT SHE MAKES EVEN YOU LOOK FLAT-CHESTED?

...Leaving my bra size out of this, yes, it is the special ability of this fairy which concerns me. She is, or seems to be, a living plague. Though perhaps plague may be a bit misleading...the point is, whatever she touches, dies and rits away in a matter of seconds, with the only exception I think to be the body of the Blizzard. Not only that, but this power does not necessarily rely solely on touch, though it is at its strongest when used that way. The effective range of it without touch is approximately two to three meters, which seems small, until one realizes that falls well within arm's reach of the Blizzard.
SO THE ICE LIZARD HOLDS YOU DOWN WHILE THE TOP HEAVY PLAGUE BITCH ROTS THE FLESH FROM YOUR BONES.

...I KNOW THERE'S AN INNUENDO TO BE MADE HERE SOMEWHERE, BUT I THINK I MISPLACED IT.
...anyway, despite all of this, it is not the battleship crushing strength, armor piercing ice, or world-rotting plague that make [Blizzard of Corruption] truly terrifying.
IT'S THE FACT THAT THE DAMN THING ROAMS THE ENTIRETY OF THE WASTELAND, HUNTING FOR PREY TO FEED IT, AND BY EXTENSION IT'S MASTER'S, ENDLESS HUNGER.
And to make matters worse, whereas the Devourer simply creates stronger and stronger monsters as it consumes more sustenance, [Blizzard of Corruption] takes a far more...personal approach.
BY WHICH WE MEAN THE MOONBITCHES DEPLOYED A FORWARD BASE TO EARTH, AND THE UNDEAD BITCH LURED [BLIZZARD] RIGHT TO THEM.
...it was a complete, onesided massacre..

I...no, I don't believe so. They threw some of the Lunarians' most powerful military technology and magic at it, but it didn't even slow Blizzard down. It simply froze their missiles and magic and bullets out of the sky, and Corruption just reduced them to dust...I may have left the moon, but to see such power reduced to nothing, so easily...

...the actual choice of abilities manifested remains unknown, i.e. whether or not it selects them by choice, or it simply happens. With the fall of the Orange Eagle Ravi, however, one thing is certain:
[Blizzard of Corruption] NOW POSSESSES NO UPPER LIMIT ON IT'S POWER, AND WILL ONLY CONTINUE TO GROW IN MIGHT. IF THE DEVOURER SOUGHT TO CREATE A GENERAL FOR IT'S CEASELESS HORDES...IT HIT THE GOD DAMNED JACKPOT.

Another monster, in a land already crawling with them.
Even from here, I can sense it's presence. Born from the same horror that consumed my people and devoured Youkai Mountain...a walking snowstorm of rage and rot. I know better than to engage such a creature without preparation, and it remains far enough away that I can slip past it undetected...but I cannot help the feeling of uncleanliness that stems from falling within the range of it's horrible aura.
It began a week ago, after I stumbled upon it in the midst of a feeding frenzy.
I had been tracking it for several days before that, though at the time I had no idea what it was, only that it was truly massive, and extremely powerful.
I do not know who or what the unfortunate creature was that had fallen prey to it, but on sensing my presence, the beast turned, growling, and threw aside something that looked as though it had been wrapped in what I later found to be an American flag.
"You...Who are you...?"
Ignorant of the blood staining the front of the monster, and herself, it was the woman that formed the chest of the creature that spoke.
"...Ventus." Was my only reply, too preoccupied with studying the thing before me. There was awareness in the four yellow eyes of the draconic head, watching me with suspicion and barely restrained hostility.
"I am sorry...but could you please...leave us...?" The woman smiled, but it was a sad, rueful thing. "We have...just eaten, you see...and we do not...wish to kill something on a full stomach..."
"...what are you?"
A troubled expression crossed the woman's hidden face.
"It is...difficult to say...our memories are...combined, after all..." Here, a smile graced her features once more, but this time, there was true beauty in it. "But what we do remember...is that [I] am the strongest...and [We] will always be [Together]."
Despite the sudden change in mood, it was the giant, armored shell that brought us back to the present, fangs bared in a snarl.
"Oh my...have you finished your meal...?" A pause, and then even the woman looked surprised. "My goodness...this was a truly strong one...wasn't she...?"
She looked to me once more, this time apologetic.
"We are sorry...but it seems we are hungry once again...and it seems we have...a new power..." She tilted her head. "Forgive us for using it...on you."
And then, the world went mad.
I have little recollection of the immediate events afterwards, as I was focused solely on escaping, but even with my own mental immunity to such sanity-altering abilities...No, what spilled forth from that creature, in an intensity so great that it seemed to dye the whole world red, was [Madness]. The power to bring insanity to the world, transformed into an aura that set even lesser creatures nearby absolutely berserk, killing themselves and anything around them in an attempt to cope. To this day I don't know what that nameless person in an American flag was, but her power has now become a truly fearsome weapon in this creature's arsenal.
I look up at the sky once more, taking in the dusty orange color of sunset...and of the birds cawing and shrieking at one another as they attempt to flee the encroaching insanity...and then I shoulder my sword and keep moving. It will be difficult to find a quiet place to sleep tonight.
Day 9, of the 9th month.

Analysis: [Blizzard of Corruption]
Weaponry:
- Claws
- Tail
- Fangs
- Gamma Rays (See under -Special- for details.)
Abilities:
- Madness Field - Unknown aura that sends the natural world for 400 meters around it into a berserk frenzy. Strength decreases significantly as it approaches the 400 meter mark.
- Deathtouch - Tactile and non-tactile ability, capable of rotting away even solid projectiles fired at target from range the instant they enter the 3 meter mark. Potentially possible to defeat using a sufficiently superaccelerated projectile, however too unreliable to consider under current methods. Tactile method is magnitudes more powerful, rotting away subjects almost 250% faster than if used on target from a distance.
- Regeneration - Can consume biomatter to regenerate damage done to it. Analysis of armor composition remains inconclusive.
- Berserk - Testing has shown that both haves of [Blizzard of Corruption] act as limiters or controlling factors for each other. Incapacitation of one or the other leads to the rampancy of the other, their powers running orders of magnitude higher as a result, almost to the point of uncontrollability. Elimination of [Blizzard of Corruption] if at all possible, must shut down both [Blizzard] AND [Corruption] simultaneously.
Special:
- *DANGER!* [Blizzard of Corruption] has been observed to be capable of emitting gamma radiation in staggering amounts. The numerous 'eyes' scattered over it's frame usually remain hidden beneath the armor of [Blizzard], but when exposed, become focusing lenses capable of refining that radiation into energy beams of incomprehensible power. Codename: Annihilation Glare, this attack is to be avoided at all costs, as currently no means of blocking or withstanding it exist.
Conclusion:
- EXTREME HAZARD: Potential as a power source for restored Scarlet Devil Mansion is impossibly high, making it incredibly valuable. However, due to the vast expenditure needed to potentially capture and subdue [Blizzard of Corruption] if possible, defenses against incursions by third or fourth-party enemies will be reduced almost to 0. Avoid engaging if possible, or if such a matter is not possible, ensure that [Blizzard of Corruption] is simply removed from the premises as quickly as possible.

Actually I've been on again off again active over the last month or so with posting smaller stuff that's still good, but not quite as time consuming.
Also I've taken to coloring and finishing up stuff on my end to build up a buffer of finished pieces, they just haven't been uploaded yet due to reasons. 8'D
Seriously though, this is probably the most insane piece I have done to date, and even DA could only upload it at half-size at BEST.
Regarding commissions, the good news is that as of late, I have more or less reconsidered my stance on that.
The bad news is that due to the fact I have neither a US bank account or a Visa card, Paypal doesn't work for me. There's some more detail, but basically I can pay people fine, but I can't BE paid, or receive money. So if I do open commissions, they'll be more like requests, and the price would be trading favors or online currency, lik Steam money etc.

The cause of the fallout is due to another faction, that for the moment is on hold since its head is currently not avaiable. She may or may not return in different forms in a later time tho, look foward to it.

However, I tend to wipe out the ones I don't support.
As for Dai, yes, I'm aware, but based on what you've seen so far, I think you should kinda gather that canon is basically a loose guideline.
We stick to it as much as possible, but where there's pieces of fanon we really like, we take them.
Also because frankly the Plague theory is one of the most infamous for Daiyousei, and a personal favorite of mine.
The radiation is just something natural to the whole Devourer faction, and yes, Okuu IS involved.
Aside from that, yeah, you should maybe probably pay more attention in future. The false leads are always there, but no matter what, we always leave the truth hidden in our writeups.
