Description
Here's my version of Édouard Manet's Luncheon in the Grass. Actually, yes and no. This was an in class assignment for Drawing I. We were working with basic shapes and pencil techniques. My professor gave us a pile of famous artwork (and possibly photography as well) to look through. I was lucky to find the Luncheon in the Grass painting. I say this because during my time at Alfred University, the artist I selected out of random for my art history term paper was Manet. So hello to a bond between that artist and my memory of the art class at Alfred.I used a reference: [link]
Also, half of this piece was done after class in my room. I think it came out good, and I really like it.
