Description I so regret using this paper This just doesn't entertain charcoal at all. I had such a hard time drawing it, it just wouldn't hold charcoal so I had to do the black background using photoshop. I was waiting for a few days to do this one & was expecting it to be a lot better. But to my misery, the paper I had used after a long time turned out so bitchy. Yeah, that's for the paper. Would have been for the drawing if it looked the way I wanted. I want to thank for letting me use her lovely picture [link] Yes I'm done with cribbing now

it still turned out beautifully despite the paper...for charcoal i love using smooth bristol board anything else i tried with it i didn't like, charcoal is so much different than plain graphite pencil ,unfortunately not all surface papers work with charcoal.

Yeah, that is so true. I always prefer working with charcoal than graphite as it so much more fun & brings out great contrast in drawings. Thankyou hun

Sorry the hear about he paper problems. At least you managed to get a decent result with photoshop.
Well, it's not as much decent as it is gorgeous! Love how the face comes out of the dark space, and the strands of hair over her face.
