If you want it to look more realistic, just stop adding lights and shadows to the image when you are happy with the result.

That's what I said too when I saw it, he did the same thing to another beautiful piece of art work. I made sure to report it too. I hope you can get the deviation taken down. But you're welcome, I hate art theft..But doing something this disgusting is just..Horrible.

This was quite a fascinating tutorial to watch - thanks for sharing your process! I really like that your gradual build-up of layers creates such dramatic change while preserving the clarity of the piece. I will be trying this out on some of my own images soon!

The goal here is not to make it look realistic but more like a mix of an actual image and digital painting.

Her eyes look yellow
the glows are poorly place on the eyes
It just looks like a painting.

Most professional artists here that do photomanipulations tend to make them have a painterly feel. It is the current trend so it looking painted would be a compliment to her.

Oh my gosh; thank you for the tutorial; I don't think I'll live long enough to be so accomplished.Β Β Β I can see that clipping masks are very helpful and painting with color makes a huge difference.Β I will no doubt need to watch your tut over and over.
