Guess it must have been a production decision, but we prefer the manga version of Near

As do I. Β The film version just isn't interesting. Β He definitely doesn't seem like the one to succeed L. Β It would have been far more interesting to see L deal with a child who is very much like himself, yet has even more trouble with emo-Oh wait! Β That's the manga version.

Ahaha. I think it's a different type of portrayal. Though, given the manga came out first, they'd have to do something really cool if they wanna change it up and yet show a good portrayal of N which imo they didn't do that well.
