Description
Sahibuk is an expansive hound monk hailing from one of the Impossible Kingdoms of Vudra.
Sahibuk was born to Nahinbuk, the head monk of a temple dedicated to Irori, the god of enlightenment, self-perfection, knowledge, healing, and inner strength. Sahibuk's mother died giving birth to him, leaving him alone with his father. The boy seemed to possess a frightful hunger, even for a growing boy. Despite this, Nahinbuk did his best to bring up his son under the teachings of their temple, and for a time their life was good.
As Sahibuk began to go through puberty his hands reversed, his fur fell out - replaced by scales, and his maw stretched out into a cavern of daggers. When the head monk's followers saw this, combined with the boy's endless hunger, they knew him for what he was - a Rakshasa. Nahinbuk attempted to make them see reason, and for it he was branded a heretic, doomed to the nine hells for daring to defend a fiend; And so they fled.
For years they lived on the run in Vudra, narrowly staying ahead of the pursuing monks. Sahibuk's hunger was an ever present companion, and his father's kindness led him to miss many a meal to offer his son a filling meal. This kindness would be their inevidable downfall, however. When the followers of Irori finally caught up to them, Nahinbuk staged a final stand to delay their persuers to offer Sahibuk a chance to escape. The master monk's sharp mind was dulled by his lack of nourishment, and Sahibuk was forced to watch as his once-followers killed his father in cold blood.
When his father's lifeless body hit the cold ground a powerful rage took hold of him, the hunger deep within him panged and he devoured his father's killers; The endless hunger burning within him was finally sated, if only for a time. Once his rage subsided, he consumed his father's remains as well - though with much more care than those that would do him harm. Irori's followers had betrayed him, and his teachings were lies, and he would never trust a clergyman again.
For years Sahibuk hid his nature behind the guise of a rotund hound as he continued to hone his skills, drawing on perverted versions of the teachings of his father and the gluttony brimming up within him. His hunger for sapient flesh would be everpresent, but through meditation and body control he would learn to control it, to harness it as part of his martial skill. Even though he tried to live in his father's image, Sahibuk felt an incredible loneliness. No one could fill the void that his father's death had left in him, emotionally or bodily. The immense sadness combined with the well of sin that Sahibuk's body had become attracted the attention of a particularly opportunistic devil who came bearing a deal too good to resist:
His father's soul back from the pits of hell in exchange for mentoring a young dwarven tiefling by the name of Gauzhe . He was sent to the villa of hound tiefling merchant lord named Baal, meant to wait there for his new apprentice to arrive, but the day of his arrival came and left with no dwarf. A few days after the proposed meeting date, Baal recieved an unusual guest - a fellow rakshasa. A rakshasa that seemed to feel no need to hide his true nature around the tiefling. A rakshasa named Anizhar . That night they had a chance to talk, to get to know each other. They shared a disdain for the gods, and the lingering pain of a lost love, though their paths had taken them on different courses. They parted amicably, with Anizhar inviting him to enjoy the comforts of his own Villa one day.
Little did he know that Anizhar had sent his life spiralling down a ruinous path.
