Description *Iconic antagonists of their franchises who are immeasurably powerful with a ton of “magical abilities” at their disposal, being able to do stuff like throw their opponents around.

*They embody that of a former person (Asriel and Anakin), who became an entirely different person both physically and thematically due to being victims of circumstance.

*They were once good people, only ever wishing to protect and support the people they care about. But this led to them being manipulated by characters who embody death and destruction both metaphorically and thematically (Chara and Palpatine).

*These manipulators managed to force them into a path of unjust by using a tactic that revolves around them convincing Asriel/Anakin that hurting those who they realistically shouldn’t hurt by their morals (Asgore/the humans, and the Jedi Order). They also died/almost died while trying to get Asriel/Anakin to do what they want (Chara died after exiting the Barrier, while Palpatine almost died while fighting Mace Windu).

*Their new “bodies” (Flowey and Darth Vader), represent them becoming emotionless monsters who toil with the lives of others to fulfill their own selfish desires. Their humanity was still within a fraction of these other selves however, but it took a selfless main protagonist who reminded them of their past to bring that humanity out again (Frisk and Luke Skywalker).

*At the peak of their confrontation with Frisk and Luke, they tried to convince them that all hope was loss and that they should give up their friends and family. And, while they almost succeeded at this, Frisk/Luke desperately tried of find the inner humanity that had been locked away for years. Making them realize of what they had done and allowing them to regain their humanity back right as Frisk/Luke were about to die.

*After redemption, they pleaded with Frisk/Luke to not try and save them. Telling them that they had done enough and that they were right and wrong at the same time. They knew that they wouldn’t last much longer and that saving them would be pointless in the long run.

*Oh, they also utilize swords and are heavily associated with chosen one motifs; in the sense that they were the true chosen hero and that they would save the universe via a prophecy passed down from generations.

10/10 matchup I know.
