(very slightly overdue gift for Ebeta2 )
This was last years pic of Holly, Melissa, Loona, Breezie, Gobi, and Citrine enjoying some time at the beach just outside Citrine's Beach Bar.
Holly has been very precise with making her sandcastle as she's just brushing off the sides ever so gently to complete it. Melissa is taking in the sun with a nice cold drink in hand and a comfortable deck chair to lie back on. Loona and Breezie are having a (slightly competitive) game of Volleyball, as they are both full of energy, and neither of them are showing signs of slowing down! Isn't Loona being able to float slightly cheating though? Gobi is cheering on his girl Breezie, or trying to, if it wasn't for Citrine taking advantage of her time out of her beach bar to have a splash!
They received this image a lot later than expected because Melissa asked Des to take a picture of the skunks, hence why she's smiling and posed for the camera, but when it came to printing it out and sending it back to them, Des ran into a few issues. Such problems include, but aren't limited to; printing the image 14 sizes too large, getting the correct address to send it to, Des going to uni, a global pandemic, damage to the picture in a cyber-dog related incident resulting in it needing to be re-printed again, and so on.

Seriously though, I promised this for Ebeta's birthday last year, and I have only just been able to finish it now. 6 months went into finishing other projects, and then another 6 months went into actually making it. This was a combination of me making the image so large, drawing more characters in a single image than usual, Uni taking a lot of my time and even completely killing my art drive for a while, and a lot of life events that happen over a years time. If I were to make this again now, I would be able to do it quicker because I've learned a load of new techniques from uni that will speed things up. Hopefully future uploads will be far quicker than how long it took to make this. I'm very happy with how the image came out, but I definitely need to work on getting it done quicker.
