Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and his Psychotic Manifestation. This is Fan Art of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, a creation of Jhonen Vasquez. Both drawings are direct reproductions - i didn't embellish a single line - as i don't feel my representations of his characters truly do him justice.Sorry it's on lined paper, but you do what you gotta do!

Nice! It's ahrd to replicate Jhonen's work, I've only successfully done it once. I might post it, now that I think of it. Heheh. Now where the hell did i put my sketchbook....*ravages room*

I must comment now, before resuming my replies. *laughs* Zzy keeps linking me to this. I must say I admire your attention to details. It's true, they aren't original poses, but then again I as of yet haven't been able to draw Jhonen's art in original poses myself, and you do a fantastic job getting down the details to every last crack in the styrofoam, or stripe in Nny's shirt. I hope some day to achieve so much detail. I think I'll actually take time out one day and see what spending an entire day on a picture would bring me. Haha, probably didn't take you that long, but meh. I know when someone's better than me.
God this is taking forever.. Damn chat. Anyway.. I think you could work wonders with this if you took it to photoshop, edited out the lines, the eraser marks, and added some kind of text or background to emphasise the emotion in Nny, or the complete insanity of the doughboy. I think I'll really enjoy watching you.

Well thank you for the comment and the +'s - the reproductions are a painstaking process, as i go lightly with the pencil until i get the shape, then start filling out from there. Not until today have i entertained the idea of using my line drawings for edits, but look for them in the future. I really should be working on my website, but i'm being extremely lazy and opting to do art instead, so there's a good chance of something being done this week in that area.

Yeah, i uploaded it on that day you couldn't upload, and when you finally could i just sent off a whole bunch of stuff - now that you mention it i think i'll remedy that before i go to bed.

PS - i cannot do Jhonen justice without doing exact replicas... unfortunately it's a talent i don't posess... but replicas i can and will do... like the Squee i drew on the porch... he was about 1' x 1 1/2 ' ... i have a negative of a photo i took of it, but it needs developed again.
