Same door shot over three years. I'd have had it in one, but the place rarely gets snow.(C)

Thanks for the comment, and I return the sentiment. I'd love to revisit the piece but the building has been hit pretty hard by vandals and taggers so now that door has a huge No Trespassing sign on it - since those are so effectual. The building is nothing but a rotting shell and the current owners don't have the money to do anything with it so it continues to decay. Plenty of other shots to be had, but unfortunately this series seems on permanent hold.

Very nice! Awesome to see the definitive differences between the seasons. It'd also be interesting to see you take these four and merge them into one with photo shop (or whatever editor program)...whether it simply be divided into four equal vertical strips or some pattern of four pieces to form the whole image. Still, very nice!

Don't know how I missed your comment all those months ago... but I'll have to have a look at that - interesting idea to be sure. Some of the images have weak spots so perhaps the stronger areas of others can be used to fill those in to make a singular more powerful image. Thanks for taking the time to check the piece out and comment.

Well with digital you can always make changes fast and easy! I like your project though. If I had enough shots of this door, say 24, I'd consider making a slowly changing version of what you did. Not so quick nor drastic.

Thanks Elaine. I'd like to redo the Summer one... but they've put more locks and 'keep out' signs on the door because of trespassers so it just wouldn't look right. Such is the life of photographers.

Such is the life of a photographer. I wanted to do the shot with the light from a setting sun thinking that color would be a nice touch, but there is a power pole which casts a shadow on that wall at sunset. I'd keep going back to try and capture it when the ivy was just 'right' but that shadow added the wrong feel so although not quite what I'd hoped, this is probably how the set will sit. Its been well received, sold a number of sets so I can't complain too much.

Nice chronological shots of the area Todd. Sorta reminds me of the discussion about that tree you wanted to shoot, but was too ugly without leaves.

Thanks Dan - this was long underway when I shot that tree in autumn, so this probably inspired wanting to do that set... still irks me a little how ugly that thing was naked compared to how beautiful it was full of fall color. I'll find one someday! Now I find myself checking trees in winter for future projects instead of autumn.
