Haha, this is the screencap that gave me all the trouble. With these, I'm trying to keep a balance between shots of the Digimon and shots of the kids so that everyone has a very clear visual for what the characters look like while they're reading. To that end, I was originally planning a sort of battle shot of Wemicmon fighting Apemon while Aki and Masato were humorously screaming and Isamu and Ju were running to help. It wasn't turning out, and I ultimately I decided that the shot would too close to the evolution and wanted to spread them out more.

So then I decided to make it a shot from the end of the episode focusing on the kids talking while a mysterious new Digimon looks on...The composition fought me very hard. I tried doing full body shots so that we could see all four of them standing around talking, but it wasn't working either, so I decided to zoom it in a little more. I liked the shot like this, but with Masato it looked a little crowded so I cut him out

After taking an unexpected and longer than intended Hiatus from this story, I have decided to return to the Network, but the thing is that I have greatly improved my art style and technique, so before I move on to new content I decided to revisit the old screencaps! To tell the truth, once again, I was never quite happy with the original screen cap, things like Masato being cut out and even the way that I had tried to emphasize Aki as the focus never turned out the way I wanted; but the real sin of the original screen cap was that they should have been in their school uniforms.
