History:

Masato's grandmother was was American so he grew up watching a lot of Hollywood movies on VHS while visiting his grandma who still buys American movie and tv, he particularly loves 80s movies. He is an extroverted young man who likes making friends and for a time he was a fairly well liked kid. He was not thrilled to be a big brother at first, but as Yori got older he became quite close with his little brother and was quite protective of him. Unlike Olivia, Masato knows he was not at fault for Yori's disappearance and spent a lot of time and energy searching for him, until he finally accepted that Yori was dead. The stigma of Yori's brother is more the reason that Masato's peers avoid him than his boisterous personality, people are afraid to bring it up around him.

Though he has a rambunctious personality in public, since Yori's disappearance Masato has taken up a spiritual side and is much more cam and collected at home. He is passionate about protecting people, which is what interested him in having a partner Digimon, he wanted a cool, powerful Digimon so he could defend others, especially once he heard about the Auctions.

History:

Equimon lived in a remote mountain community where he trained in martial arts and meditation, his personality is calm and quiet though he loves to listen to other people talk- especially about myths and legends. He didn't even know about humans until the war forced him to move off his mountain and he learned why everyone was fighting. Equimon was never interested in power, but when he heard about an auction he attended out of curiosity, he was shocked and horrified by what he saw, Equimon had tried to rescue the children himself but was caught and thrown out of the Auction, which was then attacked by Raiders who liberated the children. He has wanted to be a Raider since, but is not powerful enough to join their ranks.

Instead, Equimon dedicated his time to becoming an informant for them, gathering information on when and where an auction will take place and recruiting Raiders in the city of Network
