Ok, first I want to apologize of the quality of this picture. I still don't have a scanner so I have to use my phone for all my drawings :/ I hope you all can read & see everything clearly!

Anyways, I saw the movie "Paper Towns" the other day, especially since I was a big fan of "The Fault in Our Stars," (even though Gus talks crap about Disney at one scene....I just skip that part haha) & oh my gwarsh I loved it so much! it reminded me of A Goofy Movie, so naturally I did a parody! (Especially since it was really fun drawing the breakfast club parody).

So I will try to explain it without completely spoiling the movie/book. Although, be warned just in case.

Paper Towns is about a boy named Quentin, who grew up next door with a girl named Margo. She loved mysteries, & so as it's been told, she became one. One night when Quentin got home from school, getting really close to the end of senior year & prom, Margo climbs through his window in the middle of the night asking him to join her on some revenge plots. But the next day, Margo never made it to school. Or the days after that. But she leaves behind several clues on where she may be & what she may be doing. It starts an adventure, which leads Quentin to wonder if Margo is really the girl which he fell in love with.

the reason it reminded me of A Goofy Movie is well, because it takes place at the end of the school year, with the main guy having a crush on a girl. Plus, he has 2 best friends (like Bobby and PJ), with one of them Ben, trying to act cool and slick, and always try to pick up girls to go to prom with him (kind of like Bobby)

also, the clues Margo leaves behind includes maps, maps which include fake towns (you'll have to watch the movie or read the book to understand) these maps lead to a road trip. Haha, now it sounds like A Goofy Movie!!

also, if anyone has seen the movie poster, it reminded me of the dream sequence of Roxanne, with her hair blowing. I tried to recreate that image. However, her hair was supposed to be blowing in Max's (Quentin's) face. However, when I sketched it, it covered his nose & didn't look right at all. I tried to subtly create the effect still.

plus, Max holding the map signified how he's looking for Roxanne (Margo) and the paper town. I also drew the car to represent the road trip taken. I was going to draw Stacy as Lacey(haha it rhymes!) Margo's (Roxanne's) best friend & The Beret girl as Pj's (Radar's) girlfriend all throughout the film. However, I got really lazy with this drawing (haha). Plus, I wanted to include the more obvious refrences like the maps & the car & Max with his friends.

I know a lot of people didn't like this movie (this middle aged lady who talked the entire time made sure everyone knew she didn't like it that much... I told my mom it was amazing & she said "it wasn't amazing but it was cute"....sigh) but I really loved it. I found it really relateable and it made me miss high school it's also relateable with the life crisis I've been going through all summer, kind of reminded me of the crush I have at the moment (and Max & Roxanne). This movie also teaches you to look at the good things in life, not to just keep imaging it, or to set a goal for your happiness. You have to be grateful for the things in your life right now, don't hook it onto a person or a certain goal. Look at what you have now

Also, I would LOVE it you guys would watch both trailers. I couldn't decide which one to use, but both of them show similarities to A Goofy Movie! The first trailer shows all the maps & stuff, & the second trailer shows the details on all the characters & how the Goofy Movie characters relate to them! So I hope you guys will see these similarities as well!
