Description MyΒ entry for the Parody Poster Contest for The Disney-club

Here's all of the characters from "A Goofy Movie" as the 1980's classic "The Breakfast Club," about 5 high school students having to spend a Saturday in detention.

I casted the characters according to personality:

PJ as "The Brain"
Max as "The Athlete"
Stacey as "The Basket Case" (no offense to Stacey)
Roxanne as "The Princess"
Bobby as "The Criminal" (no offense to Bobby)

In my opinion, this movie is pretty sad, but it teaches a very important lesson that you don't see too often in movies:
Don't put labels on people. Also, it teaches adults that just because teens are young, doesn't mean they are stupid. Teens, and maybe even kids, are very aware about what's happening in this world, they aren't blind.

Just like at the beginning of the film, they show a quote from David Bowie:

"...And these children
that you spit on
as they try to change their worlds
are immune to your consultations.
They're quite aware
of what they're going through..."

This movie teaches teens that everyone is equal, we aren't all catagorized, especially in high school, or maybe even college.

When I was first thinking of ideas for this contest, I was trying to think of what movie involved high school/college kids (For a Goofy Movie), and "The Breakfast Club" immediately came to mind! It's one of my favorite 80's movies, even though it does make me a little sad. Also, I think it's the only classic 80's movie that brings a good lesson.

Also, if anyone's curious, my favorite character from the movie is Andrew Clarke the athlete (I find him cute, I confess )
& my favorite scene in the movie is when John falls through the ceiling while crawling through the vents & just says "I forgot my pencil"

-This also reminds me of when I went through an 80's phase when I was 14.....it was bad

Awesome! I was hoping someone would draw something for The Breakfast Club.
Great choices of characters to fill the roles, too!

I kinda think Peej and Stacey should've switched stereotypes, but I understand why you did it this way. I like the drawing.
