Description
The Eighth Doctor looked on helplessly as his beloved Type 40 burned. Drained of power following The Doctor's order for her to destroy his home world, the TARDIS can do nothing but burn until the embers settle, when she would regrow herself once more. The Doctor took one final look, remembering the Gothic, mahogany-styled spotless console room that had previously resided before him, and passed the doors' threshold, knowing he could do no more.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A possible explanation as to why/how the TARDIS came to look how it did in 2005's 'Rose'.
To be honest, I just found a cool promo pic of Paul McGann from the 1996 TV Movie and thought I'd try photoshopping some flames ahead of him. Hopefully it works well enough for the aforementioned tale to act as a precursor explanation to the 2005-10 TARDIS interior.
Hope you likey-likey!

I love it, truely epic and it features my favorite Doctor.
I'm kinda hoping Paul McGann will reprise the role for a 50th anniversery special if he's asked to

I have to agree! I SO hope McGann returns for the 50th, with Eccleston and Tennant as well for a four-Doctor story alongside Matt Smith. I bloody hope that happens lol
Thanks for the kind words

Sadly I don't thick Eccleston want's anything else to do with Doctor Who now that he's had his run of it, but fingers crossed. I'd love to see Sylvester McCoy make an apperance on the new show in a multi-Doctor story, he still looks relatively the same and he can play the older 7th Doctor of the TV movie. If either he or Paul McGann make an appereance, even just a cameo then that would be fantastic
NP, mate.

Sort of reminds me of the need for the TARDIS to regenerate in "The Eleventh Hour," only less manic and madcap. Eight always did have a sense of calmness about him even when he was being a goofball (e.g. "THESE SHOES! They fit perfectly!) Nice work
