One of the few animals that can't fly can be found on the 2 main continents though with slight changes due to different ecosystems, none the less the Bakek above is west parts of Vlakten sprinting at a unaware prey. the Bruin Gestreept are more brown in body color and in stripes than their other counter parts for better camouflage in the dense grass forests, they also have their scales more pronounced on their tails for display as well for self defense against other predators and larger prey. The entire family of Heupbenen of evolved their arms, legs, and other parts of their skeletal structure to walk and run a frontal position rather than the outwards position of reptiles, making them run more in line with a cheetah or a rhino of earth.

Their speed the Bakeks are capable of is around 30 to 20km and around 35km when ambushing this makes them one of the fastest carnivores on Vlakten but being a reptile they can't breathe while running so if they can't take down the animal they'll have to take a brake before trying again. Even though they are semi apex predators the species is very pacifist and can be found sleeping near herbivores and some smaller predators and even small birds can be seen hoping on their backs while there under shade but Bakeks are still predators so animals still need to be careful.

while hunting they stalk their prey in the dense tall grasses and dense forests for around 2 hours slowly moving in closer and closer until they pounce out. While they are walking, Bakeks will walk on their front and back legs like ancient crocodylomorphs back in the prehistoric times of earth but while running they run like a theropod dinosaur. Most of the day when they are not moving around the place, or eating or drinking they like to nap on the grassy hills and in the rocks because reptiles are cold blooded as you know. When mating or in defense they make deep short rumbling noises and in for mating the males will show themselves of by walking slowly to the females and and rubbing themselves on them, and once they went a full circle around they will stand up tall  to show the females the scars they have to tell that they are the  strongest in the gene pool but once the female has laid her eggs in the tall grass, the males will disappear and abandon their mate for another.
