1 Summer Gleeson: “Two Face has struck again, shooting and killing William Rosser and Vernon Lewis, researchers from Horizon Energy. This time, he was seen in the company of Doctor Victor Fries, commonly known as Mister Freeze, a cryogenic supervillain in Gotham’s large stable of them.”
2 Summer Gleeson: “Why specifically these two men were killed is unclear, although several others suffered frostbite from Mister Freeze’s cold-producing weapons. It may have something to do with the recent tenement fire at Castleton Flats, which Horizon has been blamed for.”
3 Summer Gleeson: “But it’s the combination of Dent and Fries that is most worrisome. Earlier reports connected Dent with Poison Ivy in a rampage at Veran Oil that left most of their leadership dead. Ivy is known to be working directly with the Joker.”
4 Summer Gleeson: “This begs the question – are we seeing a new society of supervillains forming? Criminals associated with Gotham’s Arkham Asylum, both powered and human, seem to be joining forces in a worrying way. While the average power level of Arkham’s inmates is typically much lower than that of General Zod, Sinestro, Black Adam, or Ares; we could be seeing the formation of another such group of conquerors.”
5 Summer Gleeson: “As the continent lurches towards madness and anarchy, both state actors and costumed superheroes seem unprepared for the task of countering such an organization. The Joker has never been shy of communicating with the public and the police through video messages and pirate broadcasts. Could a manifesto be forthcoming?”
6 Summer Gleeson: “And if so, what will it entail? We all recall General Zod’s address, barely eight months ago, where he declared the Legion ‘the ruling authority of our planet’ and that if we did not acquiesce we would be ‘relieved of the burden of living in this world’. In light of such things, the extent of the Joker’s ambitions remain a terrifying unknown.”
