These took several hours. XD This has been sitting around for a few months (I forgot about it actually) so some of the pieces are a little crooked now, but it doesn't change the fact that they fit!! This is my first ever go at a helmet and I am so happy I could actually make these patterns. I never dreamed I could! As it is paper, it has a few wrinkles and doesn't lay quite right, so try to envision it in other materials. Question- craft foam or vinyl??p.s. lack of tags because its being retarded and won't let me add more than one without spazzy glitching on me T.T

I think craft foam will be more prone to marking and damage, but it's paint-able, and the vinyl will have a nicer finish generally speaking. Also i would think vinyl would be a little tougher and less likely to tear, but i can't really say any of that from experience

Thanks for the tips!!! I'm really glad you commented this because I'm utterly clueless. XD Maybe a combination of both of them then? I could use thin craft foam for the base and cover in vinyl...?

You're welcome. Tbh i wouldn't really know that much better than you XD Hmm, might not be a bad idea, you'd just have to make sure you attach the vinyl to the foam properly.

Well they're not that great, but i really appreciate you saying that :3 Ummm you could try PVA. Just seal the foam with one coat and then glue on the vinyl with another. That would probably help it hold it's shape a little too.
