I tried to download the wallpaper to my iPad mini but it didn't work

Not sure why, this may be an odd question but how did you download it? You should right click and save as a GIF and then upload the GIF into your iPad, there's a DOWNLOAD IMAGE button to the right of the picture, don't use that, it's possible there's a problem because it's an iPad mini.
