I like how you have him diving into the stacks, he's done this a lot at his local library. He'd often hid out at the library after school to escape from the bullies. The librarian would hid them in the dumbwaiter on occasion to ensure he and his buds wouldn't be found. Also, the tunnels connected to the library, his home and his best friends house too. So as long as you knew your way around the tunnels, you could get anyplace you wanted to in town without fear of running into anyone unpleasant XD
