Description
After seeing "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" I wanted to do my own version of the dragon that the emperor transformed into. Don't get me wrong, I thought the dragon they did was cool, but I think they should have done a Asian Lung dragon rather then the Western dragon style they chose so it fit the Asian style better. I also thought it would have been cool if it was a decaying Asian Lung. So here's my version of it!Related content

Awesome work on this one, as for the western dragon they chose I think they where trying to go for Orocii. But I haven't seen the movie yet but that's what it looked like in the previews.

Sorry, mispelled it. I meant Orochi, as in Yamaia no Orochi that was slain by Susanoo in Japanese mythology. but it was an 8 headed serpent instead, but I think that's what they were trying for.

Gah, it looks frightening with those dry and bony holes in the skin
The details on the dragon are amazing, and the shadowed rock in the background adds a good depth. Great dragon again!

the reason they chose a two headed(or was it tree?) headed hydra, was because the western dragon is supposed to be evil. They didn't chose an oriental dragon because the oriental dragon is a good being. It would also disrespect the chinese to make an evil oriental dragon, because oriental dragons are gods and beings of good luck.

All though for the most part Asian Lungs are creatures of good luck and are Gods, there are some evil one's in their culture. Like the one in the story of "The serpent of Koshi".

Excellent. I was drawn to your gallery through some very old Star Wars fanart, but your recent stuff is fantastic as well--I love the complicated, detailed look of the dragon's bodies, and they look so fierce (this one creepy, too, what with the mummy influence!).
