Description
Thanks to Steam Christmas sales I was able to finally buy Skyrim for cheap and I've been loving it. So I decided to do some fan art. I really enjoyed drawing Alduin, he's such a wicked looking dragon. The Daedric armor was challenging, but a blast to draw too.My site: rushelle.com/

You have some amazing artistic techniques used in this piece. The fading on his back wing gives the perspective depth, and your northern lights are beautiful. Great texture on the stone.
Minor touches would be the only things needed to improve this. Their perspectives are off, as in Alduin looks as though he's upright to us, but the Dohva's feet are further down, as though a slightly angled overhead. I suggest making the forward wing a bit bigger in the foreground and make his feet tinier. Also, blurring the back leg adds to the perspective given with the other wing. You have some beautiful high contrast going on here, just blend it in with the faded bits. Wherever would be further from you, the more faded it is.
As an added touch, think about if Alduin's flaping his wings forward or back, and make the snow clouds move with that, sucking into him if they're pulling back, or wafting away if he's pushing them down.
Your Dohva's a big guy. The dragons' heads are huge, so I assume he's an orc. You may want to resize to add to Alduin's colossal size, or add something to show your character's big in stature as well.
As a side note: the arrow's over his hand when it would be in his hand, or maybe he's holding it like the N'tyri from Avatar, palm out. If so, you'll want to make that more obvious with the thumb.
I can't get over how much I love Alduin's head. beautiful detail. This really is a beautiful piece, and the few quirks are hard to find. Good job.

Fantastic detail! Let's get that out there right away. Wonderful textures and color choices, you surely know how to tie a piece together.
My constructive criticism would be to maybe rough out your sketches a bit more in the beginning and play with anatomy a bit before getting too dedicated to a piece. It's nothing too noticeable, but some of your anatomy could be tweaked a tad on Alduin's body and legs (he feels smooshed a bit) and perhaps the hips on your Daedric warrior as well.
All in all a fantastic piece of art! I hope you keep up the good work, you're very talented!

Not a problem! I go to school for this stuff, and good feedback is a great way to help one another improve. Always nice to have another view. Good luck!

Apparently, when you're fighting Alduin atop the Great Mountain after reading the scrolls, if you're wearing full deadric, he say's even the deadra fear him. I actually wonder if that's true, as far as I know, deadra can't die, and if they can't die, why would they fear him?

I mean, even if immortal, it would still suck if Alduin destroyed their world and forced them to dwell in nothingness for all eternity. Remember that death is by far, not the only form of defeat.

My first time fighting him, I wore full deadric, but I never heard him say it, probably couldn't hear him. I read on this site he say's it.

This looks absolutely fantastic, great fanart of a great game I got Skyrim fairly recently too and I've loved every minute of it, especially the DLCs, if you don't already have them you should look into getting them, can probably pass up Hearthfire (at least initially since it's basically just building your own house) for a while, if you could only get one, I'd pick Dragonborn probably, though Dawnguard is also really good.
In any case, great picture, it actually kind of reminds me of the carvings on Alduin's Wall in the Blade's little temple place.

I got the DLC too, my boyfriend bought me Skyrim + all downloadable content for Christmas. It's SO much fun! Sucks right now though, this last week I started school again and haven't been able to play, I miss playing Skyrim!

Nice Yeah, I picked up the full version of the game several months ago, and it is indeed tons of fun, much easier to get into than Oblivion I think...that one never really held too much of my interest :/ There're so many cool things to do, so many quests, it gets a little over-whelming at times XD Especially when you open your Journal and realize you have way too many quests just sitting there waiting to be done
Sucks that school is keeping you from playing the game, that always stinks...at least you own it and it'll be there waiting for you when you have free time

I know what you mean, haha.
I lucked out today! I had all my homework done a day early, so I played a few hours today. It was great being able to play again, so relaxing to be able to kill dragons, get new weapons, turn into a werewolf and slaughter prey.... Good times. XD

Awesome Yeah, I started new game recently as I was getting to the point where I was getting a little bored with the original character, there's still loads to do, but it feels like I've done almost everything there is with her...so yeah, started a new game a couple weeks ago, the earlier parts of the game I think are the most fun
You're always leveling something up, so it always feels like you can do just about anything....I especially love my magery and sneakery XD Magic and thieving/assassin skills are so much fun.
