Another piece in response to my grandmother's passing. This was the very first thing I painted since she passed. Her favorite holiday was Easter.Related content

What a lovely tribute to your Grandmother. Sometimes it's very hard to start drawing again when we feel deep sorrow. The good thing about being an artist is we can use our art to express the deep emotions that sometimes overwhelm us. Oh, I just love this! I can relate to this image more than you know; I too lost a grandmother whom I loved dearly and to this day mourn for her loss. This is a very emotional painting. Great job!

Theres so much involved with the loss of my grandma because of her Christ filled faith and how she left. There is a lot that she left in my heart that I can't even begin to say. So now, everything that Christ has told me through my grandmother and further comes through in paint.

I'm sure your grandmother would love this piece. It reminds me a bit of the book I'm reading where the heroine's friend is mourning the loss of her husband. Is it my imagination, or is there a tear in her left eye?

Another beautiful painting! The light in the darkness seems very appropriate for Easter. As someone else said, very elegant, and I love the movement and fluidity in the fairy's hair.
