On the West Coast of the South Island, New Zealand Red flowers are more common so I was delighted to see this yellow-flowering tree. Fully-grown, they can reach up to 20m in height so this one's just a young 'un!

Ah - I'm located on the opposite side of the Earth, so that must be why I've never seen them!

Hi and thank you! I really slacked off on DA last year ('last'!?!) - it was all work and study with some big family stuff thrown in. Am hoping for a clearer run at things in 2019 but having just enrolled in another postgrad writing paper and with some substantial changes coming up at work, I'm not sure how successful I'll be I hope all is going well with you and yours, and was glad to see your wider family had some welcome news
