So I recently watched The Year Without a Santa Claus for the very first time, and I fell in love with the Miser Brothers pretty much immediately. Meaning the urge to draw them became...ahem, "too much". I can't believe I've never heard of these guys before, as I grew up watching Rankin/Bass Christmas specials. Like a lot of people, Snowy's my favorite, but I love them both.

I was a big perfectionist with this picture, and it took me a long time to get it right. I particularly scolded myself for giving Heat Miser not one, but two, light sources! Thanks a lot, Duck, now shadows are going to be more difficult! Nevertheless, I'm still pretty proud of how the fire, and the resulting glow, turned out. Also surprisingly proud of Snowy's hat. It looked awful at first, but now it's okay.

Fun fact: When I was originally practicing these guys, Snowy looked an awful lot like Dick Van Dyke....

Anyway, hope you guys like this. I did more dynamic poses than I normally do, and I even messed around with line thicknesses this time. I'm improving!
